I have had a home in Scalea for years and I have frequented almost all the places including the sweet island, which is a historic place in Scalea with beautiful, well-kept furnishings and offers an excellent breakfast, good coffee, homemade ice cream, cocktails etc... kind and competent staff to recommend.

Nice place on Corso di Scalea. The spicy spritzes are good, including the one with cedar and limoncello. We accompanied it with a platter of very good Calabrian cured meats and cheeses. 4 spritzes, 2 platters, a fanta and a red bitter, 2 toasts and 4 coffees, a Nutella crepes. We were 4 adults and two children. €78.... good value for money. We will be back.

Bar located in the center of Scalea, they have a vast assortment of everything! Attentive and friendly staff, average prices.

Very nice authentic place. Coppa is sensational, good drinks and they give you free snacks with your drink, which i find super nice

05/12/2024: Pizza like never tried anywhere else before. Excellent dough, artistic filling I would say, excellent quality of the products. Wide variety and the chef dares a lot with tastes, but with a lot of professionalism and knowledge of the subject. At the counter, welcome, professionalism and courtesy. Super recommended pizzeria. I sincerely hope they continue like this. Top

13/12/2024: the Margherita pizza with pineapple is excellent
13/10/2024: We had pasta dishes for dinner. The place is objectively Spartan. So was the wine offering. However, all in all, the pure Pecorello was pleasant and the two fish dishes were balanced and tasty. Even the buffalo pizza crust, which we took as an appetizer, lived up to expectations. The service is a bit absent. Perhaps the place is "calibrated" more as a pizzeria. This is why we plan to return to verify this.
