We are a couple from Trento and we went to visit Trieste over the weekend. We ended up there by chance. Really nice and familiar place, excellent food. You can eat very well without spending too much. Very kind, friendly and nice owners. I recommend it because you can't go wrong there!

We went to this restaurant twice during our holiday in Trieste. Truly exquisite food both in terms of meat and fish and above all with Trieste specialities, if you want to try typical cuisine, this restaurant is truly recommended. Staff helpful and really kind.
More than honest price, less than 30 euros per person for two with fish starter, first course each and second course divided plus half a liter of house wine.
For meat, a plate of cooked ham plus a main course each, dessert and plenty of wine for 25 euros.
Truly competitive.
The menu varies day by day and you can't always find everything but they will always know how to satisfy you.

Siamo stati due volte in questo ristorante durante la nostra vacanza a Trieste. Cibo veramente squisito sia per quanto riguarda la carne che per quanto riguarda la pesce e soprattutto con specialità triestine, se si vuole provare la cucina tipica ristorante veramente consigliato. Staff disponibile e veramente gentile.
Prezzo più che onesto, meno di 30 euro a persona in due con antipasto di pesce, primo a testa e un secondo diviso più mezzo litro di vino della casa.
Per la carne, piatto di prosciutto cotto più un piatto principale a testa, dolce e vino in abbondanza a 25 euro.
Veramente competitivi.
Il menù varia giorno per giorno e non sempre si trova tutto ma sapranno comunque sempre soddisfarti.

Trieste tradition and genuine dishes. 3 of us ate, two fish and one meat. The dishes are very good but very good. The staff are nice and lively and approachable, they are very kind and helpful. The courses are also quick, abundant dishes.
Typical homemade Trieste tavern.
You have to go here hungry.
The wines are also excellent.

In the center of the city, we arrived because the reviews were all confirmed. Small but cozy place with very friendly staff. A nice variety of dishes but the big surprise was the calamarata: simple and true! It was what I wanted! Thanks and congratulations

Piccolo locale distante 1.5 km (20 minuti a piedi) dal centro: meglio raggiungerlo a piedi perché a Trieste è veramente difficile trovare parcheggio. Trattoria d’altri tempi, con menu quotidiano scritto a block notes e comunicato dalla cameriera al momento dell’ordine: comunque i prezzi che scopri solo in cassa sono onesti. Porzioni abbondanti e per ogni piatto puoi dire “fatto in casa e cucinato al momento”.
