I was in Lucca on Friday after having been in the Cinque Terre for 2 days. I had eaten take-away pizzas and focaccia before, but they were good and of high quality here in Lucca at La Cranceria. There was no comparison even in terms of price. Well done, long live Lucca and the Cranceria of Lucca.

1950 American Diner

12/04/2026: I went for lunch while working nearby. What can I say? A very nice place, a friendly, professional waitress. However, the food was truly disappointing. The fries arrived cold (there were 5 of us in the restaurant) and lacked any flavor or crispiness. The same goes for the cold, flavorless chicken sandwich. Another negative note: €2.50 cover charge for 3 napkins and 2 pieces of cutlery in an iron cup on the table (forks not used because I was eating a sandwich). Nice location, but otherwise very disappointing.
03/04/2026: A nice place to spend an unusual evening. The atmosphere is very refined. The sandwiches are classic fast food sandwiches, neither good nor bad. They have a very comprehensive gluten-free option.
