La Corte Dell' Ulivo In Montepulciano

We were attracted to the restaurant by the suggestive and intimate environment, we were immediately greeted by very kind and helpful staff. The menu offers a wide choice, with generous and quality portions. The bill was a pleasant surprise as it went well beyond our expectations given the location, the quality of the products and the abundance (I recommend the cold cuts platter, the tartare and the pork belly). I highly recommend this place, we will definitely be back!

I left with low expectations given the numerous negative reviews but I must say that I ate a good pizza and paid the right price.

I decided with my friend to have dinner in a restaurant in Montepulciano, and we chose this restaurant which is located near the Fortress. A beautiful place under the olive tree, the tables surrounded by beautiful flowers. Excellent welcome, we took a platter of cold cuts and cheeses, delicious Tuscan crostini. The Chianina Florentine is very tender and cooked just right, and all accompanied by a good Montepulciano wine. I recommend everyone to find the Al Corte del Ulivo restaurant, an unforgettable experience.

We were welcomed without reservation. Once seated, the wait was rather (very) long for order taking and food service. Except for the Chianina fillet which was very good, the cuisine was unfortunately nothing exceptional. The wine (2 bottles of Montemercurio at €65 each) is served at high temperature, which is simply unacceptable! At the time of the bill, the two bottles of wine were billed at €100 each under the label "varies" and the digestives (initially offered) were billed. The meat also appears under the label "varies" for an amount of €90, it being specified that we had ordered 1.5 kg of Chianina and that no employee had previously weighed the chosen piece and finally proven the weight paid. This was later corrected. In short, this restaurant looks more like a tourist trap than a quality Tuscan restaurant (cuisine and service). We do not recommend this establishment.

Nice place Food nothing special... Payment at the end is quite chaotic when several people are at the checkout at the same time.

The food was very good but the service a bit hit and miss, although I suppose the behavior of other tourists had a lot to do with it.

Aperitivo molto buono. Tagliere di salumi e formaggi con crostini veramente delizioso. Consigliatissimo sia per il cibo, ma anche per la cordialità e gentilezza del personale e per i prezzi congrui per il centro storico di Montepulciano.
