Truly exceptional culinary experience, staff always available, truly welcoming place.

Several problems encountered. Let me start by saying that the food was excellent, the pizzas were really good and made with a very light dough. There are several truly inviting dishes that make you want to come back. Unfortunately there are some buts. - The (booked) table was probably improvised to accommodate people who had booked and not shown up and therefore to take more seats through non-reservations. A slightly uncomfortable table, almost attached to another and with a narrow passage for the waiters. Never mind, it happens and it doesn't do anything. - The dishes arrived late: first a pasta dish, 15 minutes later a pizza and another 3-4 minutes after the other pizza. My beer didn't arrive, I remembered about it halfway through the meal. Here too, nothing serious, in fact things happen especially with a lot of confusion (the place was bursting with people both inside and outside) - At 8.00pm we arrived, just in time for an appetizer and a pizza, at 9.34pm (yes, I looked at the time on purpose) I returned from the cash register after paying. Not even 60 seconds after sitting down again we were asked if we wanted anything else, and upon our negative response we were invited to leave the table for the second round. This, unlike the rest, bothered me a lot, we would have left any minute anyway, there were still a lot of occupied tables around and until now I have never seen any "second shift" start before 10pm. Given the quality of the food and the generous portions, the place is certainly to be recommended, it's a shame that quality and attention to the customer are lost due to the "hunger" of seats. I'd rather have to book further in advance and hear "we're fully booked" than be sent away with the minutes numbered to eat excellent food. ps: wanting to leave the tip at the table is intended as a gesture to thank in particular the people who have been kind in satisfying our constant requests, they will then be the ones to "convey" it into the single basket that you keep for your organization. Forcing me to leave it directly at the cash register makes me miss this step, obviously without taking anything away from the rest of the staff.

Our waitress and busboy were very kind and attentive and made our dinner very pleasant thanks to their availability. The appetizer did not satisfy us as the fried mortadellose pizzas were sweeter than savory and the pizza profiteroles were burnt and too salty. As a second course we ordered the meat platter for 3 people, which was also not very satisfactory as two of the steaks were overcooked compared to the rare doneness we requested.

I was at the glutton court about 8 years ago. Tonight with friends I was going over how absurd that evening had been. Huge portions and delicious food. When I return to Palermo I absolutely have to go back...

Mi sono recata in questo posto poiché consigliato da molto palermitani che conosco. Essendo la prima volta in visita nella terra siciliana ho deciso di affidarmi ai vari consigli. Ci rechiamo in questo locale in occasione del compleanno del mio compagno, ordiniamo un mix di panelle e crocchè come antipasto, ahimè, le peggiori che abbia mangiato qui in Sicilia. Sebbene vengano acclamate come fatte a mano, credo siano surgelate vista la consistenza e l’assenza di sapore. Procediamo poi con un Matri Mia, ottimo impatto con 500g di carne, ma con patate poco cotte, semi crude e molto banali. Io ho optato per un primo piatto pistacchioso, buono se non fosse l’annegamento nella salsa al pistacchio che copriva totalmente il gusto della vongola. Poteva essere pesce di 3 giorni prima e non ce ne saremmo accorti. Passiamo poi alla nota più dolente, il dessert: ordiniamo due tiramisù express che definirei “tiramivia da questo tavolo che è meglio”. Affogati nel cacao, questi savoiardi (buoni) non hanno la giusta marinatura dentro al mascarpone, che risulta liquido e poco sostanzioso, il tutto coperto da una nevicata dell’82 di cacao che rischia di far tossire i più deboli di gola. Onestamente ho mangiato meglio e speso 1/3 altrove, non penso ritornerò qui.

Siamo stati in questo locale ieri sera per la prima volta, appena arrivati riscontriamo subito una grande cordialità, personale attento e simpatico, volevamo provare la loro "patata cunzata" ma non avevamo idea di quale scegliere, così abbiamo lasciato che ci consigliasse il cameriere, Fabio. Scelta ottima, patata veramente buona, per completare la cena abbiamo preso due hamburger anche questi veramente ottimi. Ritorneremo sicuramente!
