We had dinner at this restaurant and were truly delighted. It was a delightful evening in every way: the food was excellent, high-quality, and it was clear that the dishes were hand-prepared with great care by the staff. Everything was fresh and truly delicious.
The staff was extremely kind and helpful, helping to create a welcoming and relaxed atmosphere. We ate wonderfully, had a wonderful evening, and, importantly, we also spent very little money for the quality offered.
Highly recommended, we'll definitely be back!

Walking through the streets of Hagia Sophia, we met a very kind gentleman and asked him for lunch recommendations. He recommended La Contessa!
We were truly delighted by the friendliness of the staff and the delicious food.

Excellent food, but the waitress (the older one) was a bit pushy. An unpleasant incident occurred when a young waitress (I believe a foreigner) naively gave a "lei" (sir) and instead of a "good morning," she simply said "ciao" (hello) and was escorted to the table to apologize to the customer. Excessive and old-fashioned...perhaps offering a coffee to apologize for the poor girl's inattention would have done more honor to those who still crave these etiquettes.

Without a doubt, the best place in Hagia Sophia. Everything was top-notch. I have to give a shout-out to Mrs. Sonia, who treated me and my friends like her own children. We felt right at home.

Maybe, due to the fact they had great expectations, the visit to this restaurant was somewhat disappointing.
The food was OK, not special, the service was very informal and the atmosphere in very noisy.
We came to this restaurant from Forlì, but the experience wasn't worth the journey.
Nothing was terrible but nothing made our experience special.

Spending a day with my mom and daughter, going from doctor's appointments to clinics, and finally sitting down to enjoy the lunch you've been dreaming of is truly a wonderful feeling. From the truly superb Sangiovese in a carafe to the truffle cappellettini, from the delicious fried porcini mushrooms to finally finishing with a delicious Portuguese latte! We'll be back.
