We visited La Contadina Sisina 2 days ago. The amazing chef opened just for us and gave us delicious authentic italian food. The appettisers were fresh, made with local products, ravioli was divine!! I could visit Aliano just for this amazing local restaurant!! ❤️

A restaurant well-integrated in the landscape of the gullies where you can taste ancient flavors, relegated to the memories of palates now accustomed to the taste of industrial or pre-packaged products. Arriving in Aliano in the evening, at the end of the first day of cycling among the gullies and under the first summer sun, and being welcomed by the sincere hospitality of Mrs. Sisina's tavern was an unexpected and pleasant discovery.
The kitchen was reopened especially for us, allowing us not only to refresh ourselves after a tiring ride, but also to taste the authenticity of simple dishes with strong flavors.
We enjoyed the dinner so much that we decided to stop at Sisina's, also for lunch the next day, at the end of the second cycling trek, this time among the gullies of Aliano.
The cuisine and the availability of Mrs. Sisina, will remain alive together with the other memories of the tour among the gullies of Lucania.

A group of nine (3 Canadians, 2 Scots, 1 English , 1 Irish and 2 Belgians) called when the restaurant was closed and we’re met with the warmest greeting and excellent home cooked food - many courses! They opened especially for us and the chef prepared freshly made pasta. Totally excellent.

Genuine and authentic Osteria in Aliano. The menu is fixed with typical dishes of the local tradition. A special mention to Aunt Sisina who welcomed us with her heart and to Stella who served us with maximum availability and kindness. Absolutely recommended!

Abbiamo mangiato divinamente ,menù fisso di altissima qualità l ‘involtino di melanzane con latte di capra divino ,il timballo di patate ottimo ,peperoni ripieni sublimi fettuccine fatte in casa , carne alla brace !
Se passate per Aliano non potete non fermarvi a mangiare qui!!!!

Trovare il posto non è stato semplice: si trova al primo piano di una casa nel centro di Aliano e, a prima vista, non si capisce nemmeno se sia aperto. Ma sono davvero fiero di aver insistito, perché è proprio in questi luoghi nascosti che si scoprono i sapori più autentici. L'accoglienza è calorosa, il personale sinceramente gentile, la cucina è genuina e legata alla tradizione lucana. Se non fosse perché è a 7.200 km da casa, ci verrei tutti i giorni. Un’esperienza sincera, che premia il palato e scalda il cuore.
By the way, Stella è fantastica.
