We spent a very pleasant lunch hosted - it is really the case to say - by the restaurant La Conca. Delicious Gricia and Amatriciana and excellent arrosticini! Mrs. Elisabetta made us feel at home and we had the privilege through her stories to learn a little more about the history and the present of Amatrice. We promised ourselves to return along one of the recommended paths that she recommended to us and to try some other delicious and genuine dishes prepared by Mr. Gabriele. Absolutely recommended!
P.s.: unfortunately it is truly disheartening that the reconstruction of Amatrice is no longer spoken of. Nine years have passed. Let us not forget those places and the people who live there.

If you have to eat amatriciana there is no better place... it was born there. But the rest of the menu is no different either. The managers and waiters are courteous and very approachable, guided by the master who has spent a lifetime in that place.

In a context still marked by sadness from the wounds of the earthquake, we arrived in Amatrice on motorbike, under pouring rain. At the La Conca restaurant we were immediately welcomed by the warm smile and kindness of the owner, who made a room available for us to take off our wet overalls and hang them out to dry: a simple gesture, but of great humanity.
Lunch was a truly special experience: tasty starter, followed by a trio of excellent first courses, accompanied by a good glass of red. Authentic cuisine, real flavours, sincere hospitality.
A place that truly deserves, not only for the food, but for the heart they put into it. Compliments!

Excellent restaurant in the Amatrice restaurant area. With the hope that the reconstructions will speed up. Welcomed by a very tasty bruschetta, and continued with grilled lamb and gricia. Well.. If it weren't for the fact that the stomach is one I would have done an encore of everything. Everything was delicious and they were very kind.

Visiting Amatrice, we wanted to stop for lunch in this place so hard hit by nature. We chose this restaurant instinctively and were very satisfied! Very kind staff who willingly chat with customers, a well-kept and spacious place, an open kitchen overlooking the main room. Our dishes - pasta all'amatriciana, lamb chops and sheep roasts - are well made, with portions that delight the eye and the palate.
Prices more than fair.
Added value: one of the chefs (I think he is the owner) is an 88-year-old gentleman with the energy of a 20-year-old... enchanted by observing the mastery with which he moved around the stove.
We highly recommend it ☺️

Situato nel Polo Food dí Amatrice. Sala accogliente. Camerieri gentili. Menu’ classico e prezzi nella media. Mi aspettavo di più come bontà dei piatti. Il servizio è stato un po’ lento. Diciamo “ il solito “ ristorante!!!!! Mah!

La tristezza che si prova nel transitare per quel che resta di Amatrice viene messa subito da parte quando si ha il piacere di pranzare in un ristorante come La Conca. La cordialita', la simpatia e la disponibilita' dei titolari (ci hanno svelato i segreti per fare una buona amatriciana a casa) hanno emozionato e fatto comprendere la grande volonta' e forza d'animo che li guida. Amatriciana, gricia, cacio e pepe, affettati di salumi e formaggi e costolette d'agnello tutte pietanze eccezionali per sapori e preparazione. Ottimo rapporto qualita-prezzo.
