After a small welcome entree, which was very welcome, my companion and I ordered two appetizers:
"My mixed appetizer" and "warm squid tagliatella," both very good, with unique flavors and excellent pairings, as well as being stunning to look at.
We followed with a single first course, which we shared, and which the kitchen had kindly shared for us: "spaghetti martelli with Chianina ossobuco sauce." It was so good that I would probably prefer not to order the appetizer and instead order a whole portion of these.
For the second course, we shared a Florentine steak, which was very large, but unfortunately it didn't come with any appetizers.
For dessert, we ordered "trifle memory" and "cappuccino tiramisu," the latter of which was so good and unique that I dream about it at night!!!
As you can see from the photos I uploaded of the menu, the prices are in line with what I expected, and it's worth it to try the chef's delicacies!
Beautiful atmosphere, intimate and quiet.
The place is very small, so I recommend making a reservation. We were served by a very kind and polite man and woman.

It's rare to discover a place like this by chance and be won over. Tonight, La Ciottolona truly surprised us: the gnocchi transformed into gnudi are a taste of magic, the tartare is refined and full of character (the sweet and sour sauce... WOW), and the desserts... marvelous! The fresh and delicate lemon tart, and the tiramisu cappuccino, a pure treat for the palate.
We were fortunate enough to dine in a small room converted from a former butcher's shop, which created a beautiful and intimate atmosphere, making the experience even more unique.
Plus, the very fair prices and the friendly, smiling staff made the experience even more special. A discovery made by chance that we will cherish and look forward to experiencing again.

Well, well, well, everything was excellent: we tried delicious appetizers, first courses, and second courses...even the coffee, which is always the Achilles heel of places where you eat really well, is commendable. Prices are reasonable for the quality, and the service is attentive but never intrusive. The only shame is that it was a scorching hot day, but that's certainly not the place's fault; I'm not sure if they offer outdoor dining during certain times/seasons. I'll be back.

Unforgettable culinary experience, we were welcomed by the owner who pampered us and told us about the lunch dishes and the raw materials used for each dish, dishes prepared with attention to detail and unique flavors that we will hardly forget, traditional dishes revisited by the young chef, zero km products (slow food), from breeders and farmers in the surrounding areas, this small restaurant with historic walls is absolutely worth trying.
Niche, very intimate and welcoming.
I highly recommend.

Tra la nebbia e gli irti colli, piovigginando sale…
E nel cuore del centro storico di Boccheggiano si scopre una piccola ma graziosa locanda, selezionata tra le migliori osterie del 2025.
La location, raccolta e curata, offre durante l’inverno una sala interna con pochi tavoli. Con l’arrivo della bella stagione, come ci ha raccontato il proprietario, vengono allestiti anche dei tavoli all’esterno.
Incuriositi dai post sui social e dalla giovane età dello chef Duccio Frullani, abbiamo deciso di concederci un pranzo domenicale in questo angolo di Maremma.
Let’s go…
• Entrée di benvenuto (inaspettata): cracker al nero di seppia a forma di pesce, con burro d’acciughe e zest di limone. Bello da vedere e delizioso da gustare.
• Primi piatti:
• Spaghetti Martelli con zafferano di Montieri, burro acido e sugo di ossobuco di Chianina: cremosi, delicati, armoniosi… da scarpetta. Vale davvero il viaggio.
• Pappardelle al cinghiale: esecuzione perfetta, da podio tra i migliori primi al cinghiale mai assaggiati.
• Secondi piatti:
• Coscio di maialino con indivia alla brace: morbido e gustoso.
• Petto d’anatra con salsa BBQ prugna e caffè, emulsione di arancia amara e carote alla brace: cottura da manuale e porzione giusta.
• Dolci:
• Sigaro al cioccolato con ganache al caffè e gelato al rum: quasi un peccato doverlo mangiare, tanto era bello.
• Lemon tarte: MAMMA MIA!
Abbiamo accompagnato il tutto con un Babone 2022 di Roccastrada, un rosso dai piacevoli sentori di liquirizia.
Il servizio è stato cordiale e attento, mai invadente. Il proprietario si è mostrato molto disponibile, rispondendo con entusiasmo alle nostre domande e curiosità.
Conto giusto in relazione alla qualità delle materie prime e al servizio offerto.
Un’esperienza che ci sentiamo di consigliare.
In conclusione, la Ciottoloka è una piacevole scoperta, capace di unire tradizione e creatività con equilibrio e passione. La cucina dello chef Duccio Frullani racconta il territorio con tecnica e gusto, mentre l’atmosfera intima e il servizio cordiale completano l’esperienza.
Un posto che merita sicuramente una visita – o anche più di una – per chi ama la buona cucina e i luoghi autentici.
Noi ci siamo sentiti coccolati… e siamo già pronti a tornare.

Veramente superiore alle aspettative! Menù mare/terra veramente interessante con rivisitazioni mai invasive e un armonia di sapori veramente gustosi. Vini molto legati, giustamente, al territorio ma non mancano bollicine di alto livello. Servizio attento .Prezzo onesto per la materia prima offerta! Ricordate di prenotare e, unica. nota negativa ,è il parcheggio....veramente difficile trovarlo nelle vicinanze. Lo consiglio sicuramente
