La ciotola In Bergamo

Mamma mia, the food is great! And Tony, a great guy, welcomed us in an exceptional way. We were outside, but when you enter it feels like Christmas: everything is decorated in Christmas style. The service is beautiful and the food is absolutely recommended: casoncelli alla bergamasca with butter, sage and bacon, braised beef in Valcalepio, and a bottle of rosé wine. And the best thing: it is right next to the station! 😉

Unusual atmosphere and tasty food! I wanted Bergamo cuisine and that's what I got. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year ;)

They have gluten-free options, there is no gluten-free bread but there are some water crackers that are good for cheeses and sausages.

Licensed restaurant with gluten-free food. But the dishes are so tastelessly prepared that it's sad. The photo shows a barbecue with corn porridge. But these are sausages, not kebabs.

All in the spirit of Christmas. The food is delicious but not enough. There was surprisingly so little side dish for the pork loin that I didn't understand whether I had eaten or not. But the service is good and so is the atmosphere.

Great food, fantastic service, and Christmas all year round. What more could you want!

Come canta Rich Krueger, "it's always Christmas in this bar", anzi in this restaurant: perché il colpo di genio dei proprietari, non anticipabile peraltro dal nome del locale, è un arredo natalizio permanente, anzi una vera esposizione permanente degli ammennicoli del Natale, che trasforma questo ristorante (invitantemente occultato in un anfratto del lungo viale Papa Giovanni XXIII che taglia Bergamo Bassa) in una macchina del tempo che in qualunque stagione dell'anno vi trasporterà dritti dritti al 25 dicembre. Va anche detto che la cucina è solida e il servizio cortese. Quindi, due consigli di cuore: ascoltare Rich Krueger, il cantautore neonatologo; e se passate dalla città orobica, regalatevi una cena sotto l'albero e fra le renne, fosse anche agosto.

Queríamos una comida encantadora en Bérgamo ya que era un cumpleaños especial para mi tía y yo estaba corriendo la media maratón de la mañana y quería comer bien. Paramos a un policía local por una recomendación y nos envió aquí. Después de decir que estaban llenos y estaban luchando para apretarnos mientras aparecíamos sin reserva se apiadaron de nosotros y lograron conseguirnos una mesa. Me pregunté sobre los adornos de Navidad en febrero y pregunté y la respuesta fue por qué no. La comida era increíble y el personal amable era genial. Trajeron una vela en el desierto de mi tía y todos le cantaron feliz cumpleaños lo que la alegró el día. El restaurante estaba tan ocupado que debe estar haciendo algo bien. Lo recomendaría.
