La Cicogna In Torreglia

I came to this restaurant/pizzeria on the recommendation of friends, hoping to spend a pleasant summer evening in the cool air. The start, however, wasn't the best: once we arrived, we had to ask the bartender to show us to our table, because the staff kept passing by without speaking to us. Once seated, we noticed that some people, already seated at other tables and with menus in hand, got up and left one after another, which made us fear the worst. Shortly afterward, a table near ours had to stop a girl to order, since they had been waiting for about a quarter of an hour. Fortunately, she came over soon after and took our order. From that point on, things improved, and I ate well. It's a shame, however, that the service was still inattentive: to order dessert and coffee, we practically had to wave our arms to be seen. Overall, the food quality was good, but I would have expected more attentive and organized service, especially considering the number of customers that evening. A little more attention would certainly have made the experience much more enjoyable.

The restaurant is modern, with tables very close together. You have to slalom to get to the tables near the windows. Staff: fast and discreet. The food is quite good. The appetizers, with their special bread, are their forte. Gnocchi with gorgonzola and walnuts is very good. The homemade lasagna/pasticcio, recommended by the chef!! A little less so!
