My go-to restaurant in Lucca. Traditional cuisine with excellent quality ingredients. The waiters provide superb service, and the owner is very attentive and friendly. A must-visit when you're in Lucca or the surrounding area. I highly recommend La Bistecca. We'll definitely be back!

Excellent service, very kind and attentive waiters, average venue. The food is traditional Lucca, except for a couple of courses. I'd say very good, excellent desserts. The price, in my opinion, is a bit high, but that's fair enough!

Very welcoming place, very fast service. Very good and well-presented dishes. The price is in line with the service offered. Worth a try. The place is not accessible to people with disabilities.

Fandt dette sted via Tripadvisor. Ligger ude i ingenting og ikke et sted, du bare ville finde. Venlig betjening og fantastisk mad!! Vi fik hovedret og dessert samt sodavand og vand. 4 personer. Det blev 900 dk kr.

L'isola che non c'era

22/11/2025: We stumbled upon this place by chance and felt right at home from the moment we arrived. Lory and the entire staff were incredibly friendly, the place reminded me of my grandparents' house 😊 and the food was fantastic 👏🏾👏🏾. The Chianina tartare was excellent and the Fratoiana soup, a Lucca specialty, was delicious.
17/11/2025: Great wine, good food and a smile when being served. The restaurant has a wide selection of both local and national wines which will not disappoint. I had the fried chicken and rabbit with zucchini which was fantastic followed by a tiramisu that was very authentic and delicious. I would definitely recommend spending the time to stop here for a meal and some great wine.

Trattoria da Ubaldo

07/12/2025: Last night, a wonderful reunion was organized by a dear friend and colleague at this trattoria, which unites the sacred and the profane in a playful and spontaneous way in a unique and charming setting. Excellent food and wine, attentive staff, and a welcoming and friendly owner. An experience to be repeated.
