La Cecca In Capannori

The quark-stuffed zucchini blossoms were a great start. Then, the quail in a grape and olive sauce was hard to beat, and the tiramisu was lighter and fluffier than ever. Definitely recommended.

We ate well and the place was crowded Expensive like in all the restaurants in the Lucca area, the water (3€) and maybe a little also the house wine good but 12€....(we are in Lucca Water and wine if you dig you can find them) For the rest good also the staff young welcoming I'll go back I have other dishes to try

My wife and I visited this restaurant 4 times on our last trip to Italy. We just found the atmosphere very relaxed, the food was very good, and the service was friendly and accommodating. I met the owner who proceeded to tell me the history of the property and showed me photos of the family. It isn’t expensive and it is nice sitting outside under the vines. I imagine that it gets very busy in peak season and very hot. We were there in June.

I love you. There is nothing else to say. They make you feel at home where there is no home.

Since we are vegetarian we were only able to order primi and side dishes and it was no problem to do so.

The restaurant "La Cecca" was recommended to me because the kitchen is very attentive to gluten-free dishes. In fact, almost all the dishes on the menu were available in the gluten-free version. We ordered the gluten-free version of two first courses, tagliatelle and gnocchi, knowing that they would bring us the usual gluten-free fusilli seasoned with the chosen condiments, as happens in almost all restaurants that offer gluten-free options. Surprisingly, they served us fresh gluten-free gnocchi and tagliatelle that were exquisite to the palate! The dishes were so good that I even doubted whether they were gluten-free. Since I discovered I was celiac, I had never found such good gluten-free dishes and above all a restaurant so willing to serve the original dish (fresh tagliatelle!) for celiacs! Too bad we were just passing through otherwise I would have returned to try other dishes. The waiting staff was very friendly and kind in managing our needs. Congratulations indeed! Spacious and welcoming place. Highly recommended!!!

Nos alojamos en Villa Marta justo al final de la carretera. Su restaurante (que nos gustó) no está abierto los domingos por la noche, así que tuvimos que encontrar una alternativa. Mirando las críticas y pasando en coche, La Cecca parecía que habíamos hecho una buena elección. Pero no estuvo a la altura de nuestras expectativas. Llegamos a la hora que habíamos reservado que era su horario de apertura (7 . 30 pm). El lugar parecía un caos y definitivamente no estaban listos para abrir. Nos mostraron a nuestra mesa y abandonado - no hay menú u oferta de bebidas. Llegaron otros, obviamente asiduos, y fueron atendidos mientras esperábamos de esa manera frustrada en inglés. No es un buen comienzo. La comida estaba bien, pero muy rústico, no es lo que habíamos esperado en un lugar como este. Y caro para lo que teníamos. Cuando terminamos tuvimos que ir a la entrada a pagar ya que el camarero no iba a traer eso a nuestra mesa. En general, una comida insatisfactoria pero cara.
