I LOVE IT! Technique and historical memory, love and passion, the result? Wonderful dishes.
The welcome is warm and informal, and you'll find friendliness and professionalism. Excellent wines.
We went last night for dinner and were more than satisfied! The menu has just a few dishes (the length every restaurant should have 👍), but they're all designed to pique the reader's interest without getting confused! We ate excellently in a warm and friendly atmosphere, with the chef being super friendly and helpful, explaining each dish to us. They also catered to celiacs with special bread and attention to detail. We'll definitely be back!
Premise: I never go to restaurants that are not typical of the area where I am, so in Italy it is practically impossible for me to choose not to eat Italian but, in this case, my obsession falls dramatically: incredible raw materials, quality, courtesy, knowledge and cholesterol ... everything at the TOP! Highly recommended!
We had dinner in 3 adults plus a 6 year old child in the pleasant garden.
Excellent 'les escargots' served in the ceramic plate that does not require the use of the famous pinces a escargots that sometimes create funny mix-ups.
Also excellent is the Beef Tartare seasoned as it is healthy to do in France. Very soft beef fillet. And what about the French fries with mayonnaise and the Tarte Tatin to try absolutely to rediscover the taste of eating in a brasserie which in France are the places to eat simple dishes of traditional French cuisine.
Anyone who wants to understand how to eat in traditional France must absolutely try the Brasserie da Johann a cooking enthusiast.
Congratulations!
Johan is as ever a warm and friendly host, his wife knows her stuff and is very helpful and kind. But if I'm honest the new table mats and lack of an ice bucket don't seem to fit the otherwise accomplished offer.
I'll start by saying that I ate very well. I ate some delicious mussels, fresh and very clean. The only flaw was that they weren't very hot, but the place was full and I understand the difficulties.
Two problems though: the first is that I like white wine cold and what I was served seemed warm. Maybe I should have asked for an ice bucket (my bad). The second is that I had to undress and leave my clothes outside the front door because the smell of food was very strong.
Having said that, I highly recommend the experience, also because I don't think there are many places in the area that can be compared in terms of cuisine and quality.
