Pranzo in famiglia , le bambine accontentate in tutto, piatti gustosi tutto fatto in casa dalla pasta al dolce , il locale accogliente ma merita una bella rinfrescata…. Da ritornarci sicuramente

I went with my group of friends to eat at Castellana and the bruschetta with lard and soup maritata totally captivated us. We also tried other pasta dishes but the soup is the one I recommend 100%. The place is suggestive and characteristic, we had lunch warmed by the heat of the fireplace. The price is adequate and proportionate. I recommend it!

Sono andata con il mio gruppo di amici a mangiare alla castellana e le bruschette con il lardo e la minestra maritata ci hanno totalmente rapito. Abbiamo assaggiato anche altri piatti di pasta però la minestra è quella che consiglio al 100%. Il posto è suggestivo e caratteristico, noi abbiamo pranzato scaldati dal calore del camino. Il prezzo adeguato e proporzionato. Lo consiglio!

After our experience at La Castellana today, it shocking to see that this restaurant doesn’t have a rating that appropriately reflects how delightful it is. The minestra, made with seasonal vegetables from their garden, alone is worth 5 stars - and that’s before you add the warm, friendly service, the wonderfully flavorful lardo, local cheese selection and homemade pasta with wild boar. As we dined on a cold day beside their fireplace, I remarked on how much I already couldn’t wait to return. If your focus is on the older interior, you’re missing all of the joys that this restaurant and their kind team offers. Highly recommend.

Poorly maintained restaurant, cleanliness does not reign, nice staff, excellent first courses with fair prices, we are not sure about the second courses, the quantity is small for what they cost, 1 slice of scamorza €7.00 French fries instead, a small portion and full of oil €4.00 ....I wouldn't go back, I would try something else 😵💫

Experience above expectations.
Rustic environment with ancient exposed wooden beams. The highlight is undoubtedly the fireplace in the center of the room, for company and effect.
Abundant and home-cooked dishes, handmade pasta, mixture of masterfully cooked meat.
Last but not least, the house red wine, the undisputed companion of the evening.
Welcoming service, friendly, attentive and courteous staff.
The only flaw of the place, despite the extreme characteristic beauty of the ancient structure, would be aesthetically to be revisited, perhaps a refreshment of the walls and a little light in some points to visually strengthen the environment.
In any case, an experience worth repeating.
