Really good pasta (we had the ragu and carbonara) and steak. A drive uphill on a narrow road and it’s easy to miss where to park. Extensive wine list. Really value for money, warm service and superb food.

Per anni quando andavo a lavorare a Sondrio mi fermavo in questo ristorante, purtroppo il COVID ed altro mi hanno tenuto lontano da questo ristorante, sono ritornato di recente e nonostante la qualità sia rimasta la stessa ed anche le porzioni i prezzi sono "esplosi" e si sono allineati (ed alcune pietanze sopra seppur di poco) agli altri. Peccato veramente perché i 2 genitori storici avevano altri prezzi che rendevano questo locale accantivante anche per le giornate non lavorative.

Siamo tornati alla Cascata dopo quasi un anno e non posso che confermare il giudizio precedente: ottimi piatti e prezzo assolutamente onesto. Un tagliere e sciatt per una persona ( abbiamo mangiato in due) un piatto di plin burro e salvia, un taglio di carne eccezionale, due minerali e un calice di rosso con braulio offerto a poco più di 70 euro. Gestori attenti e premurosi, bravi bravi!!! Continuo a dire che l’esterno del locale è veramente brutto ma tutto il resto è da grande ristorante

22/01/2025: We have just had dinner in this refined restaurant with exposed stones that make it special. The food is of excellent quality, with a lot of attention to the presentation of the dishes and the portions are generous. The staff is attentive to customer needs without being at all intrusive. The correct price. If you pass through Tirano it is advisable to take a break in this restaurant.
19/01/2025: The place was nice, and the service was super quick, which we appreciated. We used our Bernina Express voucher to try the pizzoccheri, but the food didn’t quite live up to our expectations. Be sure to mention if you want a non-vegetarian version, as they bring vegetarian by default. Ours was overly greasy, and some friends couldn’t even finish it. That said, the fast service was a plus, but overall, the food could’ve been better
