A highly regarded restaurant, first and foremost for its food, but also for the kindness and helpfulness of the waitresses. Prices are reasonable, not excessive as is often the case in Marina di Massa. Excellent fish, expertly prepared, generous portions, and the food is not overly decorated or overdone, but rather substantial. What you end up paying for is a dinner that satisfies both in terms of quantity and quality. A well-deserved shout-out to all the professional and attentive wait staff!

Ristorante Pizzeria la Carretta I must say that we weren't planning on going out to eat, but since today, September 10th, was rainy in Marina di Massa, we decided to take a stroll along the seafront. While walking, it got to midday and we stopped at this Ristorante la Carretta, where my wife and I had lunch. I didn't imagine we would have such a good lunch, based on fish and other dishes. However, for me, this restaurant is one of the best I've ever had in Marina di Massa, and I think we'll definitely be back.

There were four of us. We ordered two appetizers, two first courses, two second courses, all fish-based, and two desserts. Good value. The staff was friendly and very efficient. Very good.

We went on a Saturday night, and it was completely packed, and even though we had a reservation for 9:30 PM, we had to wait. However, they made up for it with fast service. And I must say, quality. Generous portions. We'll definitely be back.

Posto sul lungomare di Marina di Massa Su consiglio di altre persone siamo stati in questo ristorante storico due giorni di fila. Ottima qualita' di pesce e ben servito..Soprattutto i primi... Personale molto gentile e attento. Grande organizzazione Bravi

Locale sul lungomare. È un po’ datato ma si lì si va per mangiare! Personale veloce e simpatico. Menù con tante proposte soprattutto di pesce. Io sono andato diverse volte e devo dire che il pesce lo fanno bene. Piatti abbondanti come i contorni. Spaghetti alle vongole molto buoni. Carta dei vini ben forniti ma anche il vino della casa è buono. Per i dolci tante proposte, soprattutto le torte . Conto molto onesto.

05/09/2025: I dined at this charming restaurant a few nights ago and it was a truly pleasant experience, one I highly recommend to anyone passing through Varazze. The food was excellent! I personally opted for the fried fish and vegetables, and it was truly excellent, light, and tasty. The service was perfect, with attentive and truly helpful staff. The outdoor tables create a truly unique and special atmosphere. Highly recommended!

The cuisine also deserves praise: the dishes are tasty, well-prepared, and of excellent quality. Unfortunately, the service wasn't up to par. We had to ask for menus, water, and even bread ourselves. The dishes arrived one at a time, uncoordinated, and the wine arrived only after we'd already started eating and after we'd requested it a second time. A shame, because the beauty of the place and the quality of the food risk being overshadowed by sloppy service. With some improvement in this area, the experience could truly be excellent.
