La Carlina In Prazzo

Stopped by today for a snack after the walk to Capanna Ussolo, Marta cooked two delicious crêpes. Excellent welcome, cleanliness and courtesy. We wouldn't have wanted anything more.

The Rifugio La Carlina, managed by Marta since this year, turned out to be a very good choice to celebrate New Year's Eve with our group of friends. The dormitories, renovated this summer, are large, warm and welcoming. We spent 2 days playing board games, in a welcoming atmosphere, accompanied by excellent food and the kindness of Marta, always attentive to everyone's needs (vegetarians and various allergies). The clear skies and pink dawns were the setting for a truly special experience. Being a stopping point on the Occitan Routes, the refuge is perfect for both hikers and those simply looking for a quiet place to unwind. highly recommended!

We stayed at "la carlina" at the end of the summer, we stayed two nights sleeping with friends in the largest dormitory. We were thrilled with everything, Marta's welcome is extraordinary, the structure is very beautiful and we can't wait to return to see the tavern being renovated. Various trips depart from the refuge and alternatively it is possible to reach a lot of wonderful places in just a few minutes by car. I highly recommend La Carlina for a relaxing weekend in the mountains :)

Gli spazi sono stati appena rinnovati, le camerate e le aree comuni sono accoglienti e confortevoli. L'ambiente è molto pulito, l’atmosfera piacevole e rilassante. Marta, che gestisce il rifugio, è cordiale e disponibile, sempre pronta a offrire informazioni e consigli utili per rendere l'esperienza degli ospiti ancora più memorabile. La cucina è ottima, con piatti preparati utilizzando prodotti locali freschi, che valorizzano i sapori del territorio. La combinazione di un servizio attento, un ambiente pulito e una cucina deliziosa rende il soggiorno al Rifugio La Carlina davvero speciale.

A perfect stay at the La Carlina refuge Cleanliness: excellent Cuisine: excellent Hospitality: excellent I had the pleasure of staying with friends at the La Carlina refuge in Ussolo, and from the first moment our impression was excellent. The refuge, recently renovated, is extremely clean and welcoming, and Marta's new management, which recently opened, has brought a breath of fresh air. The location of the refuge is perfect for those who love the mountains: located in the picturesque village of Ussolo, it allows you to go on various trips and admire the splendid views of the Val Maira. The welcome was really warm. Marta made us feel at home straight away, giving us numerous tips on trips and excursions to do in the area. Breakfast in the morning was a special moment: the products are genuine and prepared with care, and you can see the passion that Marta puts into her work. The refuge's cuisine also deserves a mention: everything is prepared by Marta herself, using quality local ingredients. The environment is very clean and well maintained. Being allergic to dust, I really appreciated the cleanliness of the rooms and beds, with new and impeccable blankets. The bathrooms are also comfortable and very clean. The refuge offers two welcoming and comfortable dormitories, perfect for groups. I can't wait to return!

Pulizia: ottima Cucina: ottima Accoglienza: ottima Ho avuto il piacere di soggiornare con amici al rifugio La Carlina a Ussolo, e sin dal primo momento la nostra impressione è stata eccellente. Il rifugio, recentemente ristrutturato, è estremamente pulito e accogliente, e la nuova gestione di Marta, che ha aperto da poco, ha portato una ventata di freschezza. La posizione del rifugio è perfetta per chi ama la montagna: situato nel pittoresco paesino di Ussolo, consente di partire per diverse gite e di ammirare gli splendidi panorami della Val Maira. L'accoglienza è stata davvero calorosa. Marta, ci ha fatto sentire subito a casa, dandoci numerosi consigli su gite ed escursioni da fare nella zona. La colazione al mattino è stata un momento speciale: i prodotti sono genuini e preparati con cura, e si nota la passione che Marta mette nel suo lavoro. Anche la cucina del rifugio merita una menzione: tutto è preparato da Marta stessa, utilizzando ingredienti locali di qualità. L’ambiente è pulitissimo e ben mantenuto. Essendo allergico alla polvere, ho apprezzato molto la pulizia delle camere e dei letti, con coperte nuove e impeccabili. Anche i bagni sono comodi e molto puliti. Il rifugio offre due camerate accoglienti e confortevoli, perfette per gruppi. Non vedo l’ora di tornare!

The La Carlina refuge has reopened in the heart of Val Maira. Taken over by Marta this year, after two years of closure, it combines traditional hospitality with a new context. The recently renovated common areas create an intimate and comfortable environment in which to relax after a day of walking. The environment is welcoming and functional. The cuisine is simple but of quality, with local products. If you want a corner of tranquility immersed in the beauty of the mountains, this refuge is definitely worth considering.

After 5 years we were again in the now renovated refugio under new management. Posto tappi great, food delicious, help great, hospitality great. We will come back.
