Easter Monday for four: good service despite it being very crowded. Enjoyable lunch. Special mention for the chicory: delicious!

Everything was delicious, the tagliata and steaks were highly recommended. The lamb was very good, and the homemade pasta was also good, but a little disconnected from the toppings.
The desserts could be improved, but overall, I think I'd recommend it and would gladly return.

We had lunch today for the first time in this delightful place. The food was excellent and plentiful, with fairly quick service, despite the large influx of customers. The very young waiters were courteous, friendly and professional. We will definitely be back!!!!!

How could we not take advantage of these beautiful days of this late spring? The world is in chaos, the news is destabilizing every single day. We need to refocus, seek beauty, and peace (in every sense of the word). That's why escaping Rome's unbearable traffic to take refuge in the tranquility of Lake Albano seemed like such a wonderful opportunity. With a friend, not knowing exactly where to go, I stopped for an aperitif on the lakefront. Da Paolo alla Capannina immediately struck us. "Where are we going? What do you think of this? It's a really nice place, isn't it?" We descended a few steps and were immediately welcomed. We chose a table at the back next to the fence. Next to us was the dormant lake, surrounded by beautiful nature. A few birds visited us, hopping on the adjacent tables, then a beautiful dark gray tabby joined us, already knowing he'd be getting something to eat. Gjeci arrived, a tall, thin blond man with a mullet cut. He brought us the menus. We choose immediately: a porchetta platter and two buffalo mozzarellas, washed down with two cocktails. Soon we're already eating. The cat hadn't made a mistake and stays with us for a while, who knows why! Everything is delicious, everything is fresh. Even the cocktails (often a lottery win) are perfect. Time passes so pleasantly. Sunset arrives, the air cools, and the other guests leave (it's dinner time). My friend and I decide to stay a little longer. It's nice. In fact, great. We have dinner here. We move into the interior room, all in wood, sober yet elegant. We eat pasta. Our choice is the pappardelle with wild boar in white sauce and juniper berries. Spectacular. A lovely evening, a welcoming atmosphere, and friendly service from a guy whose name, for me, is complicated, with a genuine smile and kind eyes. So yes, if you're passing through and—like me—don't know where to go, I recommend it. An aperitivo and, if you want, dinner (I didn't ask, but maybe lunch too, I don't know). The cost? Well, given the quality of the food, the excellent drinks, and the overall atmosphere, we spent just over €35 each. Considering the time, it seemed like a fair price. If we'd just stayed for aperitivo, we'd have spent half that. It was worth it; we needed to escape and enjoy ourselves. And so it was!

We shared a 1kg Italian rib eye steak. Unfortunately, it wasn't cooked to perfection. Cooking "rare" doesn't mean the inside should be completely cold.
You can't throw a rib eye steak on the hot grill, turn it over, and serve it at the table on a hot griddle. That's not how you cook it on the grill, I'm afraid. And for €45—which might be a fair price—serving meat cooked that way is unacceptable!
I suggest taking a class with a master grill chef!

Very nice place, especially in the evening. We were there with a small group of people. The food was excellent: the grilled meat, the appetizers were plentiful, and the side dishes were typical of Roman cuisine. Everything was very good, and the service was quick. Thank you.
