La Capannina In Capri

This restaurant is what I refer to as an 'If You Know, You Know' spot, it's perfectly hidden down a small alley past the main square but once you enter it's a busy favorite for celebrities and locals alike. I would recommend making a reservation, we did and were greeted by an incredibly handsome and kind man who politely took us to our table. We shared the ceviche fish which was a huge portion consisting of fresh anchovies, salmon, squid & prawns. I then had the ravioli which is the restaurant's specialty, the ravioli was the best I ever tasted, little clouds of fluffy pasta stuffed with rich cheese and tomato sauce. My mother had the scampi which consisted of large fresh langoustines on a bed of vegetables. For dessert we had an absolute favorite of ours 'wild strawberries' or what we call alpine strawberries which are harder to find than gold and have the sweetest most delicate taste. We thoroughly enjoyed our evening, the staff were friendly and we left fully satisfied.

Amazing seafood pasta. Noticed we need more room for my sunglasses so moved a table across to put my shades. 3 different servers and all very personal. Amazing.

Food was top notch and the ambience as well!

Pasta was out of this world!! Ravioli and the seafood linguine were to die for!!! Octopus and the Figs, mozzarella, and prosciutto also delicious.

It was really delicious and really expensive haha. However, all restaurants in Capri are expensive, so it can't be helped. The staff are very friendly.

Excellent restaurant. Beautiful, welcoming and with impeccable service! Very good food, just a little expensive but like everything in Capri.

By far, its the best resturant i've tried in italy. Lemon pasta with shrimp is a MUST.

Very good spot, a shade off the main path (a good thing). Our salmon and osso buco mains were fantastic/ as were the profiteroles… good wine list too. Highly recommend!

Simply super tasty and beautiful! The owner himself comes out to greet guests and chat. But the staff is underperforming. Not everyone is polite and smiling, not everyone knows the ingredients of dishes or the English language well. But the dishes themselves are beyond praise! Delicious!

This restaurant is sensational. Great wine list, service and great food. We enjoyed one of the specials that evening being the Razor Clams which was very nice and highly recommend the ravioli as well as the vegan options for vegans.
