On vacation in Capri We came across this restaurant by chance and were very well received. The food was excellent. I recommend it 100% if you are passing through Capri. There is an exceptional atmosphere and the staff are very warm, welcoming and friendly. I recommend it.

Simply the Best Restaurant in Capri!
Aurora is good, but this place is great! This is true Italian food. The pasta is homemade the clams and oranges with the pasta simply amazing and every dish is prepared with genuine love for cooking and for making people happy. Don’t get caught up in the tourist traps—come here instead.
The service and friendly staff makes this place a must!! This is what a family owned restaurant looks like!!!

Great place in a very touristy capri. Very friendly, attentive service and reasonable prices comparatively in Capri. The owner himself attend to us. The food was very good as with the atmosphere. A true institution of Capri.

We come here every summer and this year was no exception. We always ask for Sonya to be our server and she always treats us like family. We went for my mother's birthday and they made her a delicious cake with mini strawberries. Everything we ate was delicious. Zucchini flowers and Osso Bucco are yummy and you can never go wrong with pasta! I would recommend and can't wait to return next summer. Plus António, the owner, always comes out to say hello. You MUST go!

We didn't have a reservation and were told to wait 15-20 minutes for a table, but in the end we waited more than 40 minutes. We ordered dishes - a salad, a hot fish dish and two pastas. First they brought us the fish dish and the salad after about 20 minutes, and after we ate these dishes, we waited for the pasta for another hour. After an hour of waiting, we asked to refuse the dish and pay, and left hungry. The salad and fried shrimp scampi were tasty (normal level, nothing extraordinary).
The restaurant needs to work on the service.
The bill for the salad, shrimp, water, cola and espresso was 90 euros.

We had a truly wonderful time at La Capannina. The food is excellent, but what's most striking is the authentic atmosphere you experience as soon as you enter. It's a restaurant steeped in history, its long tradition reflected in the many photos hanging on the walls: faces, moments, and memories that convey a true Capri soul.
After so many years, those who run it are still there, on the front lines, welcoming guests with passion and warmth. This makes all the difference. The food is high-quality, but the real added value is the experience, made up of hospitality, memories, and authenticity.
A place where you can feel the real Capri, both yesterday and today. A must-try.

4 of us ordered, 1 ordered the insalata caprese, 1 ordered the spaghetti vongole, both excellent, 1 ordered the tagliatele porcini and 1 ordered the scaliatelli ai frutte di mare not good, both lacked flavour and the seafood bland, the tagliatele were sticking together which is not normal and not enough sauce . When we provided feedback both positive and negative, the waitress simply was surprised and had nothing to say other than no previous complaints. Would not recommend dining here. Staff friendly and good atmosphere on the positive side.
