When a restaurant meets a trattoria! Excellent restaurant, a guarantee! I've been there several times, including for dinner, and I've always had a great time! I stopped by for a proper lunch break. I would have ordered the entire truffle menu, but since I had to get back to work, it seemed like a waste to wash it down with a Coke. Local dishes, fresh and strictly homemade!!! Convenient parking nearby. P.S.: I highly recommend booking.

Delightful restaurant next to a former hospital, now a museum of naive art. The place is very cute, with outdoor seating under a gazebo and inside. We ordered a second set of ravioli for our first course, which were truly delicious. The meat-based main courses were also excellent. The staff was very friendly. Highly recommended!

We're in Luzzara on the Cisa state road. The restaurant is located in a beautifully renovated old roadhouse. The cuisine is traditional yet creative; both the pumpkin and the chess cake were delightful, as were the delicious anolini and the tagliata. The only disappointing aspect were the potatoes... I would have preferred a different potato, but that's a matter of personal preference. Overall, a highly recommended place with excellent value. Excellent service.

04/03/2026: The food is good. Maybe not as good as the reviews suggest, but it's certainly enjoyable, and that's subjective. The service is a bit pretentious; if you're not planning on sitting down all afternoon, it's not a good choice. I asked for a little speed, and they did, but not as much as I'd have liked; I had other plans for the early afternoon. The price was fair for meat and wine included. Not being able to choose between two different menus is a serious handicap. What if I want beef and my girlfriend wants pork? Terrible choice. Even the "one size fits all" cooking method. No Bueno.

Macelleria Trattoria Fornaciari

27/02/2026: I've been to Trattoria del Macellaio Fornaciari in Reggio Emilia and had a truly excellent experience! The atmosphere is pleasant and informal, perfect for a dinner with friends or as a couple. The selection and quality of the meats are extraordinary: every dish is expertly prepared and the flavors are intense and balanced, from the tartare to the tagliata to the wagyu specialties. I highly recommend it!!!
14/02/2026: Let's start by saying that the owner is a true meat and wine expert, capable of providing effective advice, and the staff is friendly and knowledgeable. However, this doesn't change the fact that the prices (at least for the menu we ate, featuring Vacca Rossa Reggiana) are far too high, coming in at almost €70 per person for an entry-level bottle of Tuscan Sangiovese. For that price, you'll be dining in a proper restaurant with a proper cover charge (not on a paper placemat) and a very respectable location. Personally, I'll avoid it very carefully.
