24/01/2026: To admire the lake, head to the pass. The starting point is the village of Monno, following the road signs. The trek begins by following the unpaved road, continuing along the trail, crossing the Roman bridge (also called Charlemagne's bridge, according to legend, because he built it), and entering the forest to reach the lake and the refuge of the same name. Upon arriving, you'll find Cima Varadega and Monte Pagano. The route is also suitable in winter (snowshoes) and for families. At the refuge, you can enjoy excellent traditional cuisine and relax in the hammocks. Travel time: approximately 2 hours Difficulty: E D+635m Alternatively, you can drive over the Mortirolo Pass, but you'll need to ask for a parking permit.

19/10/2025: My heart's refuge. Beautifully managed restaurant, food that's excellent is an understatement. A gem overlooking Lake Mortirolo. A spectacular experience in every way. Highly recommended.
