La Cantina in Collina In Cuccaro monferrato

Unfortunately, this is the first time I've gotten home after lunch in Monferrato, and in the evening I can't wait to eat because I'm incredibly hungry. The location is basically a shared house with a small courtyard and a beautiful view of the hills. The wait times between courses were biblical, but that's understandable given that it was mid-August. What's not so great is the amount of food per course (like dietitian portions), and of course they never stopped by to ask if anyone wanted more. The choice between two main courses was always mini portions. A mini dessert. We asked for a second bottle of wine since the first was included in the price, but since there were four of us, it wasn't enough, a €40 surcharge. Total €55 per person, and we went home feeling hungry.

Enchanting place. We dined outside, with a breathtaking view. Excellent appetizers, spectacular first courses...in short, everything was very good. The red wine we chose was out of this world, as was the rosé they produce. More than fair price. We will definitely be back soon!

I'm very sorry to write this review. I've eaten here many times and have always had a great time, whether it's birthdays, Christmas, or just a dinner for two. Unfortunately, I can't say the same this evening. We weren't taken into consideration at all, even though we had a reservation. We had to wait a while before being seated. It goes without saying that on a summer evening, we wanted to sit outside, which the owners strongly discouraged due to the mosquitoes. I wonder why they didn't treat the area or at least adopt some strategies. We literally had to run away. No desserts or coffee, it was impossible to stay a second longer. The service was rushed, with no attention paid to the diners.

Anyone who wants to experience Monferrato must come here. Excellent food, homemade wine, and spectacular views. I highly recommend the handmade agnolotti. Plus, a beautiful selection of vintage photos of the town and its people to admire. Bravo, bravo!

Nice place for lunch during the week, great prices

Nice place in Monferrato. End of the positive part. Average food (quantity and quality). Visited for lunch, already from the call for the reservation the gentleman who answered was brusque and hasty. It can happen that the place was full. When we got there we were told that they offered two menus, a "work" one with simple dishes and an "à la carte" one (which is not à la carte since it is a complete fixed menu). In fact, there is no menu where you can see the list of individual courses and the characteristics of the dishes (allergens, price, ingredients) since everything is explained verbally. When it came to the bill, having pointed out our doubts, we were abruptly dismissed without even being deigned to say goodbye when we left (we were left alone in the room - we were the only ones left - while they were on their own in the kitchen ignoring us on purpose). I think they want to make their service appear too high a level compared to what they are able to offer. I do not recommend it. Really bad experience. The only place in Piedmont where something like this happened to me.

Excellent food, good value for money and friendly service

Cena con amici. Location accogliente e molto bella sia all'interno che all'esterno con vista magnifica sulle nostre meravigliose colline del Monferrato. Cibo ottimo e personale e proprietario super disponibile e gentile. Prezzo ottimo per tutto quello che abbiamo mangiato e bevuto. Consigliatissimo sotto ogni punto di vista per una pranzo o cena in totale relax e tranquillità. È bello concedersi ogni tanto una coccola dove si passa del tempo di qualità.

Ennesimo compleanno festeggiato qui ed è stata l'ennesima prova che è il miglior agriturismo dove trovi ottimo cibo,ottima ospitalità e accoglienza e ottimo rapporto qualità/prezzo. Tutto impeccabile!!!
