La Cantina di Ciccillo In Gaeta

Ciccillo , in estate, esce dalle cantine per approdare alla sovrastante chiesa sconsacrata priva del tetto, praticamente un chiostro. Cena raffinatissima in un ambiente esclusivo e ovattato sotto le stelle. Ottimo e vario il menù. C'è da lavorare un po' ancora sul servizio un po' incerto. Ottimo il prezzo. Ristorante da non perdere, soprattutto per una cena romantica.

The location is really very nice and suggestive (inside an old church). Unfortunately, as regards the restaurant part, it did not meet our expectations. The dishes are all very very banal (simple), tuna tartare with two pieces of lemon on the plate for €18. We tasted the sliced ​​tuna with hazelnuts which was nothing more than a slice of seared tuna with hazelnuts on top (the red onion compote was good). Another negative point, in our opinion, is the room. We only placed one order and waited an hour and a half to eat, with great disregard towards the customer. We had to ask for the bread ourselves and to receive the wine and water we had to wait another half hour. If you go there you go more for the place than for the food and the service. Sin. Prices for the proposed offer are high.

Ho scelto questo locale colpita dalle ottime recensioni e le condivido totalmente; titolare e personale molto accogliente, con il sorriso e la dedizione al lavoro ogni piatto è dettagliato con cura , materie prime eccellenti, ottimo rapporto qualità/ prezzo. Nel centro storico questo locale è una chicca sia in estate x la location (ex chiesa) che al chiuso in inverno, il titolare ci ha fatto visitare e dettagliato la ristrutturazione della location invernale. Se siete a Gaeta la sosta è obbligata se nn lo siete andate perché merita davvero. Raramente si incontra il piacere di ascoltare la narrazione e la storia della famiglia e nutrirsi con piatti tipici cucinati con passione . Lo consiglio assolutamente.

A very peculiar restaurant that was born among the remains of a deconsecrated church, we ate outdoors in a very comfortable atmosphere. The stuffed cuttlefish in the chef's appetizer are delicious and the "house goodies" are also very good. Helpful and kind staff. Advised.

Fantastic atmosphere, absolutely incredible to sit in a church from the 8th century. Super nice staff, good service and the food arrived quickly and the staff were talented. And the food!!! The food was magically good! Definitely a restaurant to visit in Gaeta!

Behind the seafront, among the alleys, the cloisters and the buildings annexed to the Cathedral, this small wine shop/restaurant offers small emotions, in a refined and elegant environment created in a cellar that incorporates a section of the Gaeta city walls, an oil mill and a splendid Roman underground cistern. These wonders, integrated with care and respect in the internal room, well illustrated by the young owner, would be enough to offer the maximum rating to Cantina di Ciccillo, but there is also the cuisine, organized around a few appetizing proposals, balanced in flavors and made with love and passion. Everything was wonderful, I'll be back.

An incredible experience! We chose "la cantina di ciccillo" to celebrate my wife's 60th birthday in an original way in Gaeta! Not only did they show us availability and courtesy from the first moment, but they organized everything down to the smallest detail, creating a one-of-a-kind party. Our guests were impressed, in love with the local cuisine, the suggestive venue and how the entire lunch was managed, from the appetizers to the cake, prepared outside in the characteristic alley. A special thanks to Lucia and her team for giving us this magnificent party!!! A warm hug from the Avezzano group!
