Perfect, lovely people, helpful even if you only speak English. Food so good, seafood, pasta special to Bari to die for. A very big thank you to Anna and her bambino son Mauritzio. (ITalian for Maurice).

Orecchiette with seafood, not good, even better! Accompanied by a nice, crisp white wine... We ate outside with music in the background... Peace and quiet. Consider that they offer olives, taralli, and bruschetta while you wait for your order. Finally, they offer limoncello while you wait for the bill... Excellent value. Now I'm going down to Cantina della Zio, and if you don't hear from me again, it means the other wine is excellent too 😁🥂

We arrived in Bari after visiting Matera, and while waiting to get to the airport, we stopped for lunch at La Cantina dello Zio. We waited a bit, as they don't take reservations, but it was definitely worth the wait. The seafood lunch was excellent (roasted sea bream and octopus with grilled prawns), at a more than fair price. The service was friendly but very attentive, and they even offered a delicious digestif at the end! Recommended for a "homestyle" yet impeccable lunch or dinner! :)

The star of the show were the Molfettese puntarelle, showcased in every dish with great care and creativity, in an evening enriched by the presence of journalists, food, and wine bloggers. All in the splendid setting of Il Vecchio Gazebo, which has established itself as a point of reference: refined cuisine, quality ingredients, and a welcoming atmosphere that makes you feel immediately at home.
