We dined there two nights in a row, because first of all we were struck by the rustic location, meticulously cared for down to the smallest details, particularly the waiters dressed in themed attire. As we entered and sat down, we were greeted by the Maitre d', who prefers to be called Fabio by his simpler name. A serious, capable, and cheerful professional, he pampers you in every little detail. Before leaving the inn, I strongly recommended never losing people like that. That said, my five stars are an understatement; if I could, I would give much more. I highly recommend it.

La Cantina del Marchese is such a famous restaurant in Marina di Camerota that my review can only be a drop in the ocean. The appetizer was generous, featuring local cured meats and cheeses (the lung sausage was excellent), the sciambielle (Cilentana-style stuffed eggplant) were phenomenal, and the rianata was good, but not spectacular. We then ordered the triidi, a chestnut flour pasta topped with mushrooms and sausage, and the real star of the evening: the maracucciata. I absolutely recommend it, because the Lentiscosa maracuoccio is a Slow Food Presidium, and the farmers have worked tirelessly to increase the cultivation of this legume. The price was very reasonable, around thirty euros per person, including wine and liqueurs.

The place is very characteristic and recalls an old cellar, with a wooden table and exposed barrels. It offers traditional Cilentan cuisine.
Try the maracucciata and the cicci maritati.
In summer, outdoor tables are available while the internal rooms are equipped with air conditioning.

Siamo capitati in questo posto per caso con il nostro piccolino il 1 maggio, ed abbiamo scoperto una volta dentro che era il famoso locale di Cracco “dinner club” abbiamo provato la Maraccucciata un vero capolavoro, ingredienti semplici ma cucinati con maestria, abbiamo provato i cavatelli fatti a mano il tagliere di formaggi la ricotta di capra fatta dal proprietario è stupenda e anche alcuni salumi sempre prodotti da loro. Bisogna prenotare, il posto ne vale la pena.

Trattoria tipica con sapori autentici della regione. Paste e carni tipiche. Buona qualità . Da provare se volete qualcosa di originale. Servizio cortese ma piuttosto lento. Bella atmosfera.
