Simply lovely :) The food was very tasty, cute ambience and very friendly service. We really enjoyed our dinner here and will definitely return if we ever come back to Scansano.

We were here for lunch, with my children, after a swim at the beautiful Terme di Saturnia. We were welcomed with an excellent crouton of Chianina ragù each. We ordered the rabbit in bacon and the Chianina tongue as a starter, as a first course tagliatelle with wild boar ragù for me and the typical cooked water for my husband. All delicious, carefully prepared by the chef, homemade pasta. Attentive service, the waiter pampered us as if we were at mother's house. Compliments!

Very welcoming place and atmosphere, attentive service. The owners are a very kind and helpful brother and sister. The Ribollita is delicious, the cheek, tripe and tongue in green sauce are also good. The morellino recommended by the owner was excellent

On the ground floor for a drink. Atypical setting. Excellent wine, as was the service and the food/aperitif toasts. Excellent value. I recommend !

Excellent food, well prepared and typical of the Tuscan tradition. Raw materials at km 0 and Nicola an exceptional host. I recommend Tuscan tripe, rabbit in porchetta, maltagliati with wild boar ragù and cocoa and finally cantucci with petite manseng from the Terenzi winery

21/08/2024: I was asked to give a reason: Judging by the reviews, they must have amazing food. The ambience is also right. We were looking forward to the taste of Tuscany and the good products of the Maremma. A minimal menu is not a disadvantage. But that hasn't been confirmed. Among other things, we had the mixed starter plate. You couldn't go wrong there. No cooking skills are required either. But there is no joy either. We order, I think: gnocchi with wild boar ragout and as the main course for the adults: the tuna steak and a piece of beef, I think entrecote. I asked for a salad. But they don't have anything like that. We wait and waited. We had booked a table. It was Saturday evening. The terrace filled up. But nothing happened. During this time, half the village was supplied with food in the indoor catering. After over an hour the gnocchi arrived, with a touch of sauce. We cook a better ragout at home. Then after another 20 minutes and already very hungry: a very tough piece of beef, completely unseasoned, not really seasoned. I asked for salt, pepper and olive oil and waited. Salt and olive oil came when I had eaten half of it. The side dish: boiled, unpeeled potatoes. Not seasoned, not fried. Was that forgotten? The tuna steak was at least well fried with a raw core. No seasoning at all and the same boring potatoes. Where was the cuisine of Italy, Tuscany, where was the Maremma? Their cooking is boring and heartless. We skipped dessert

TRATTORIA IN CAMPAGNA

26/08/2024: Ormai quando posso questa è una tappa fissa. Era un po' che mancavamo e Loris e Stefania ci hanno stupito con nuovi piatti. Dico sempre che la loro cucina è ottima ed è difficile ormai trovare parole più convincenti. Eppure in questa occasione ho trovato gusti più marcati, anche sorprendenti, saporiti e accostamenti inediti. Abbiamo preso carpaccio di chianina marinato, la loro ormai super collaudata giardiniera, gnocchi alle erbette cacio e pepe, pici con ragù al vino rosso di tre carni, filetto di maialino brado alla senape con verdurine saltate al burro salato. Non ci siamo fatti mancare il dolce anche eravamo sazi: semifreddo al limone e semifreddo con i cantucci e vin santo, rigorosamente fatti in casa. Locale straconsigliato! Ricordatevi di prenotare diversi giorni prima!
21/06/2024: 2 months after that dinner we are still talking about it, and even this alone could be enough as a review 😄 Very familiar and small place, genuine menu without unnecessary frills and super professional and helpful staff. There being 5 of us, we tasted practically the entire menu and each dish was better than the other. We will definitely be back 🥹
