I would like to respond to Gianmauro Carlone's review, which unfortunately there is no possibility to leave a comment under his review. First of all, my colleague and I often have lunch at La Cala and we've always had a good time! The gentleman indicated above reported that a waiter was bothering two Russian girls, me being Ukrainian and my Russian colleague, as underlined by South American Gianmauro according to his observation, but being a bit superficial he may not have noticed that we were just joking with each other there, as we do every time when we are at La Cala for lunch, otherwise we would have told the waiter to leave us alone, and we didn't run away, having an hour for lunch we are always in a hurry to get back to work in time. This waiter is always very attentive, as are all the staff at La Cala, they are always very attentive and kind, so I wish Mr. Gianmauro before writing complaints against others, be sure that they really have the reason even if it were done with good intentions, it is better to write exclusively for yourself first.

I have been visiting this restaurant for a long time, now after renovation it has become more modern, the seafood is fresh, the pasta is delicious, the tomatoes straight from Sardinia are also very tasty... For those who have a sweet tooth, there are very original desserts... The only thing is that there are difficulties with parking, I recommend taking a taxi... .

The portions are not too large, the fish is fresh and I found the dishes good. I've only been there once, I think I'll come back and try other dishes. Disappointing desserts in my opinion and perhaps excessively priced for what we consumed compared to quality and quantity.

Era qualche anno che non ci andavamo, locale ristrutturato ed ingrandito. Secondo i nostri gusti fatto davvero bene.
Passando al cibo delizioso, crudo di ottima qualità, gamberi rossi di grande pezzatura e squisiti ostriche molto buone.
Tartare e primi sorprendenti, prezzi adeguati per la qualità offerta

L'ambiente è stato rimodernato di recente e risulta moderno, lindo, ma asettico, con poca personalità e tale per cui definirlo elegante è eccessivo. La cucina è essenzialmente (ma non esclusivamente) di pesce ed è fortemente ispirata dalla tradizione sarda. Ho assaggiato: antipasto di mare caldo, lorighitas con calamari e bottarga, tarte tatin con gelato. Tutto molto buono e ben presentato. La carta dei vini è abbastanza ampia, con proposte interessanti e con buona presenza di etichette sarde. Il servizio è stato di qualità diversa a seconda di chi l'ha prestato: in un caso è stato empatico ed efficiente, in un altro un po' rozzo e poco adeguato. Anche l'accoglienza, leggermente impacciata, meriterebbe una messa a punto. Per quel che ho mangiato, oltre che per una buona bottiglia di vino (e mirto generosamente offerto) ho speso circa 65€. Questo locale ha l'ambizione di diventare (o già di essere) un punto di riferimento culinario per la zona e la sua cucina di qualità gli consente di perseguirla. Però dà anche l'impressione di essere in una fase di assestamento in cui il servizio e forse l'ambiente andrebbero, a mio avviso, perfezionati per essere a livello dell' ambizione.

And he was delightful for my friend & I! Wonderful experience in Milano! Restaurant even called taxis for us!
