I spent my 50th birthday with my husband at Buca di San Matteo ... We had dinner in the private room... wonderful Our waiter Alex was simply perfect as were all the dishes we ate... Everything was perfect and delicious We will return ....

Top from the welcome to the food! The service is nothing short of phenomenal, the guys are super smiling and super helpful, very kind and always on the ball. They didn't make a mistake with the food, everything was perfect, perfect condiments, truly an experience with bells and whistles! In our case we celebrated the anniversary and we were in the private room, the guys immediately warned us that the cover charge would cost 10 instead of 3, but you find yourself sitting above a well and the atmosphere is priceless, go there you absolutely won't regret it! We spent a special evening for my wife's birthday. I booked the Privé table, which is set in a 1400s well with water underneath and light effects, candles etc. and I recommend this experience to everyone because, together with the kindness and competence of the young waiter who welcomed us and advised us during the evening, everything was perfect! Among other things, I am celiac and they were super competent in this regard too! Fair price for the quality of the dishes and wine!

Genua, mit seinem historischen Charme und malerischen Gassen, ist eine Stadt, die man bei einem kulinarischen Abenteuer nicht missen sollte. Inmitten dieser faszinierenden Stadt fanden wir das wunderbare Restaurant La Buca di San Matteo, ein wahres Juwel, das mit seiner authentischen Küche und dem freundlichen Service überzeugt. Kulinarisches Erlebnis: Unser Abend begann mit einem köstlichen Gruß aus der Küche: Formaggio con Pesto – eine perfekte Kombination, die uns auf das Kommende einstimmte. Dazu wählten wir einen gut gekühlten Weißwein, der das Ganze harmonisch abrundete. Als Hauptgang probierten wir Taglierini mit Trüffeln, und ich kann nur sagen, es war bombastisch! Die Pasta war perfekt zubereitet und die Trüffel brachten ein unvergleichliches Aroma, das den gesamten Teller zu einem wahren Genuss machte. Zum krönenden Abschluss genossen wir den Käsekuchen mit wilden Früchten – einfach himmlisch! Die Kombination aus der cremigen Textur des Käsekuchens und der frischen Säure der wilden Früchte war der perfekte Abschluss eines rundum gelungenen Menüs. Die beiden Kellner, die uns bedienten, waren zwar nicht ganz sicher in ihrem Englisch, aber dennoch unglaublich zuvorkommend und freundlich. Sie haben uns hervorragend durch den Abend begleitet, und wir möchten uns herzlich bei ihnen bedanken. Fazit: Ein wunderbares Restaurant, das ich jedem in Genua ans Herz legen würde. La location è incantevole e il servizio cortesissimo . I piatti sono davvero ben fatti e ben presentati . Ottima sia la battuta con tuorlo croccante che la vellutata di ceci con calamari . Il pesto poi ….:uno dei migliori che io abbia assaggiato . Conto assolutamente equo in rapporto alla qualità del cibo. Bravi !!!!
