An excellent dining experience just steps from Via Veneto. The handmade pasta was top-notch...excellent! Highly recommended!

Absolutely the BEST homemade pasta which is made on site, that I've ever had!!! Prices are reasonable and the service is excellent! Outside tables and inside tables, very quaint and great atmosphere.

The food was so so good! Veg soup was superb! The fried calamari we re ordered 3 times coz it was so good. Pizzas were yummy Ravioli was also excellent. Only thing that was a 4/5 was the sea bass. I guess add more fish options and then it’s perfect.

Meh. 3.6 is accurate. Slightly undercooked pizza and missing salt in pasta. Not crazy expensive though. Just don’t order bread.

Crispy Roman pizza cooked in a wood-fired oven. Delivery times are reasonable, and considering the area, the prices aren't outrageous. You pay for quality! We'll definitely be back.

Op onze 1e avond in Rome kwamen we dit restaurantje tegen. We wilden buiten zitten, maar terras was vol. Binnen was ook gezellig, leuk personeel en lekker gegeten. Zo leuk dat we een paar dagen later nog een keertje terug gingen. Nu wel buiten, ze maakten er gewoon een stuk terras bij. Alles werd lekker vers, voor onze neus, gemaakt. Prima adresje.

Des pâtes délicieuses faites maison. Personnel très agréable. Prix très correcte. Très bon moment. Pâtes aux palourdes et gnocchis fabuleux.

04/10/2025: Lovely little bar & gelateria with a real local vibe. I often bring guests here on Appian Way & Aqueduct Park bike tours, and they love the variety and flavours of their artisan gelato
25/08/2025: I ordered some gelato from Il Gelataio via Deliveroo, and I have to say the experience was overall very positive. Delivery was on time, and the gelato arrived in perfect condition, well-preserved, and still cold, which isn't always the case with this type of order. I chose the hazelnut and pistachio flavors, and found both to be delicious and creamy. The flavors are authentic and not overly sweet, which speaks to the quality of the ingredients. Overall, Il Gelataio proved to be a great option for a gelato craving at home. It was a pleasant discovery that's worth repeating.
