Intrigued by the reviews we read, we booked at Botteguccia, which was just a few meters from our hotel. I can only confirm what others have written. As soon as you enter, you'll be in the hands of host Stefano, who will immediately immerse you in the atmosphere of the place. I recommend not glancing at the menu from the reviews, but rather going there and waiting for all the delicious dishes the girls will bring you, you'll be amazed every time. Everything is delicious, from the appetizers to the meat, from the first courses to the desserts! DON'T MISS IT, GO, GO, GO, IT'S WORTH IT!! From the table of crazy people.

Spectacular. Came for lunch with my husband on November 1, 2025. Excellent quality, super speed, everything 0 km, friendly and kind. I must say we will be back and highly recommend it.

A great surprise awaited us today on our return from a lovely vacation in Tuscia and Umbria: we arrived from Rasiglia just in time to find a free table, and the host immediately greeted us with a friendly and welcoming manner, as warm as the cozy, wooden atmosphere, full of old-world familiarity. The food was surprising, with many unexpected starters, varied and tasty, simple home cooking yet steeped in history, local and seasonal traditions. The food and wine were perfect for a gray, chilly autumn day. A real surprise: the host was attentive and generous, laden with truffles on warm, succulent fettuccine as he circulated among the diners, assisted by smiling, courteous, and ever-present staff. A pleasant end-of-vacation lunch to talk about upon my return to the Verona area, and who knows, perhaps even a return. Best regards...

The atmosphere is friendly and convivial, and you have to enjoy the rustic and deliberately down-to-earth setting. The quality of the food and cuisine is just acceptable, and the service is perfectly suited to the setting. The waiters are a bit rushed, and their smiles lack spontaneity.

"No frills, lots of heart, just like the days that matter." I wandered into Botteguccia del Campo 64 by chance, for an impromptu lunch, and, won over by the simple, welcoming atmosphere, I returned for dinner. The atmosphere is authentic, with attention to detail without ostentation, and every dish speaks to the passion for locally sourced products. Stefano, the host, welcomes you with kindness and warmth, making every moment special, and all the staff are friendly and polite. Here, simplicity becomes poetry, and you leave with a heart full of gratitude.

07/10/2025: A beautiful, quaint restaurant with a lovely red room and—a few steps down—a sort of cellar room. Several signs point the way from the old town entrance to the restaurant. The service is polite and friendly. While serving the "Tagliere," she briefly explained all the sausages, hams, and cheeses to us. The cuisine is quite upscale, and the food is very tasty, which is why the prices are absolutely justified. The only thing I personally didn't quite like was the tiramisu. I completely missed the taste of coffee. It's part of the experience, though, especially since it's supposed to wake you up; hence—I think—the name: "Pull me up," meaning "wake me up." It also consisted mainly of mascarpone. There were maybe a few pavesini on top. I've heard of it with the savoiardi (spoon biscuits), but they're solid from top to bottom. That way, at least they have some bite. But below the Pavesini (or whatever) there was just a "mascarpone lake." Certainly not bad, but not particularly appealing in terms of taste. But as I said: a matter of taste. Having been there five times already, I can highly recommend it. In 2019, for example, I had the melted cheese with truffle – without honey upon request; then the pappardelle al cinghiale; or the simple lentil soup. This time we had the tagliere, the pasta with capra, and each of the duck breast and beef, I think. In 2019, we had an appetizer that was extremely complex; hence the numerous photos. Very interesting back then was this kind of meatloaf with balsamic vinegar; but half as thick as in Germany. It tasted much more refined, though. The house wine was also surprisingly good: only €8 a liter back then. By the way: the pool was, of course, very clean. Parking is convenient and free in front of the circular square in front of the pedestrian bridge over the Nera River. It's great that this restaurant exists: highly recommended, as it combines typical Umbrian cuisine with high quality.
