best and most authentic kitchen you can imagine in tuscany. just a wonderful atmosphere and the food is out of this world. lost for words to be honest. the two owners are super nice and made our whole evening even better. honest recommendation!

Very authentic Tuscan cuisine. You walked in and immediately felt at home. Both the waitress and the man in the kitchen were very welcoming. We ordered pasta carbonara and pasta with ragù, both incredibly delicious. We recommend making a reservation, however, as there aren't many seats inside.

Very friendly little restaurant. The menu gives the location's suggestion (see photo): a simple place where you take the time to eat well. Delicious ribollita, and a very generous portion. Carbonara is also well done. Max, the chef, is also very funny, and his partner, more discreet, takes great care of the customers. I forgot: try the tiramisu

Unfortunately, it was a really bad evening for the food, perhaps due to the overwhelming crowds due to the town festival. Thanks to the waiter who tried his best, but the reservation was lost, and two hours for three pasta dishes and a steak is far too long. Luckily, at least the food was excellent. A complimentary nightcap would have been nice. A missed opportunity.

At Botteghina di Civitella, time slows down, as if allowing itself the luxury of staying a little longer. You arrive, breathe in the beauty, and are enveloped in a genuine welcome that immediately makes you feel at home. Every dish tells ancient stories: the tender and flavorful tripe, the ribollita, rich in flavor and memories. The staff is warm and smiling, and the view is one that stays with you long after your journey. It's true, some say you have to wait a bit... but it's a wait that doesn't weigh you down, on the contrary! The chef prepares everything freshly, with care, calmly, with respect for the flavors and for those who sit at the table. In a place like this, time isn't to be filled quickly: it's to be savored, just like the dishes that arrive. A corner of Tuscany that stays in your heart.
