We stopped for dinner on a long trip. The best choice! The food was amazing, the fresh pasta was incredible. The owner was so kind, he waited on us even though it was close to closing time. We'll definitely be back to try the meat and, of course, all the other pasta dishes!

Passing through Naples on our way to Trentino, we stopped for dinner with 17 of us, finding space, hospitality, and authenticity. We ate everything from pasta to cured meats, meat, and some traditional dishes. The portions were generous and flavorful, but the added bonus was Massimiliano's presence and friendliness, which made us feel at ease from the moment we arrived!

We stumbled upon Botteghina di Civitella at the last minute, just as they were closing, but despite this, they welcomed us with truly rare kindness and helpfulness. The owner was impeccable: smiling, friendly, witty, and ready to prepare our food without any rush, making us feel right at home. The food was excellent, with simple yet authentic dishes, prepared with quality ingredients and boasting an authentic flavor. Even though it was late, everything was served with care and attention, as if we had arrived at the perfect time. A small restaurant that captures the essence of Tuscan hospitality: good food, a family atmosphere, and people who truly make the difference. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Civitella Val di Chiana.

Good quality food, Massimo is very nice, the environment is small but welcoming. The only negative note is the price. A little too high. 1.2 kg of Florentine steak, 250 grams of tomatoes, 2 cutting boards and a slice of rustic pizza with 1.5 liters of wine 220 euros.

Definetly the best pasta carbonara and the very best tiramisu in the World!!!

Lovely homey place, with great food and amazing vibe! Feels like you’re being privately cooked in an Italian home! If we had another evening we would definitely return

best and most authentic kitchen you can imagine in tuscany. just a wonderful atmosphere and the food is out of this world. lost for words to be honest. the two owners are super nice and made our whole evening even better. honest recommendation!

Very authentic Tuscan cuisine. You walked in and immediately felt at home. Both the waitress and the man in the kitchen were very welcoming. We ordered pasta carbonara and pasta with ragù, both incredibly delicious. We recommend making a reservation, however, as there aren't many seats inside.

Very friendly little restaurant. The menu gives the location's suggestion (see photo): a simple place where you take the time to eat well. Delicious ribollita, and a very generous portion. Carbonara is also well done. Max, the chef, is also very funny, and his partner, more discreet, takes great care of the customers. I forgot: try the tiramisu
