Seems local and staff was very friendly. Service was also authentic and fast. Very good price and taste (cacio e pepe) ! Highly reccomended :)

Don't expect a five-star restaurant with waiters in livery and four glasses at the table, but if you want genuine products cooked with skill, first courses above all, but also side dishes, if you are "satisfied" with a small, narrow seat and perhaps shared with strangers. ...well....come to La bottega. Amazing cheese and pepper, the carbonara one of the best eaten in Rome, the extraordinary Roman artichokes, the phenomenal stuffed tomatoes...
The friendliness and kindness of the owners are a plus that adds to the quality of the culinary offerings.
A stone's throw away... from everything ;-)

Honestly, the best food I ate in Rome and the best carbonara I've ever eaten (and I've eaten a lot of carbonara). This is a shop that serves food, not a restaurant per se. Lots of locals in this unassuming establishment, so already a good sign. Very good value for money too. Order more than one dish, just to try as much as you can. If I find a cheap flight back to Rome, It would be just to eat here again.

We arrived in Rome this morning from Canada and this was our first carbonara and caccio peppe of the trip and we were so impressed. Service was very nice and they explained everything to us. Great value with big portions. Will definitely go back in the next few days. Grazie mille!

Magnificent place!!!!!.. go there by post, or rather for pasta!.. leave the idea of having your money stolen in commercial places for the masses and go and eat homemade pasta, with style and hospitality of a time.

Some local people recommend us there and i dont hesitate to go . As a tourist i also recommend that place . Menu’s with the beer are very good.

Voilà des vraies pâtes fraîches excellentes, un régal . Cacio e Pepe, pour une française c’est la découverte, je déguste et je m’éclate. Après être montée au Dôme de la Basilique Saint Pierre, j’ai besoin d’un remontant, c’est formidable. Prix raisonnable
