Wasn’t going to book this because of the central location for fear of this being a tourist trap…I was proved completely wrong! Hands down our best meal during a weeks stay in Taormina. Food was superb, reasonably priced and the service was great. It was very quiet when we visited but I imagine the atmosphere will be phenomenal when it is fully booked. The walls are adorned with photos of famous faces who have ate here and I understand why! 100% recommend you to try here if you are in Taormina…you will NOT be disappointed!

You probably need to know when to eat in this city, I was there after noon when most of the restaurants were already empty. The food is delicious but a bit expensive, but this whole city is expensive so the price is reasonable in my opinion and not unusual for the area. A very beautiful and special restaurant.

The wife and I had the Seabass. It was amazing. They put on a demonstration showed it to us. Then served it to our table. It was amazing. They were friendly service was really good and the outside patio was beautiful.

09/12/2025: I only ate the arancini with ragù... which I found very good... the service was also discreet but ok... the prices were honest... on the negative side... the cleanliness... a little dirty... the bathrooms then... too dirty... with all the dirty people who pass by there... it needs more attention and a bit more cleaning...

13/11/2025: My wife, I, and some friends went to Il Gabbiano restaurant. We had dinner with various seafood dishes, all rigorously fresh and carefully prepared. The staff was polite and well-prepared, and the owner, Vittorio, and his wife, were truly knowledgeable and very professional. When you're in Capo D'Orlando, go there. We highly recommend it. Please keep up the good work in the kitchen 5x⭐️ Ambience: The ambience is very modern and clean 👏👏👏 = 5x⭐️ Service: The waiter was very exemplary and attentive 👏👏👏 = 5x⭐️ Small criticism: The olive oil bottle was placed empty on our table 🤔 (it can happen). After informing the staff, we received salad oil in bags 😢 for our salad.
