La Borgatella In Comiso

The place is cute and the architecture is distinctive. Friendly staff. The wait time is normal. I didn't particularly like the mussels because there was too much tomato, but that's just personal preference. The pizzas are generally good, nothing extraordinary, but good. The prices are like in Milan, so normal for Milan, but for Pedalino I'd say a bit high... In Milan you might justify it a bit with the fact that the products aren't local, but here in the land where everything is locally sourced, the prices should be lower in my opinion!!! Cover charge is €3, let's talk about it.

Excellent pizzas with a variety of toppings to choose from. The atmosphere and decor are elegant, the service friendly, and the prices reasonable for the type of products offered. Street parking is available. Recommended.

Some imperfections in the service but all in all I didn't dislike having dinner, from my point of view as a sommelier the wine was served too much before the dishes, with the consequent rise in temperature, the dish was a little salty but good (spadotto escalope with prosecco and mushrooms).

Except for one night, we always dined at Pedalino, in restaurant La Borgatella, it was close by from our B&B and away from the busy city centers. Don't be scared of its remoteness, you'll find everything you need here at a reasonable price. The food is delicious. It's local, but they're super friendly and speak English. You can scan the menu on the spot with your phone, which takes away some of the charm, but it makes it easier to order in your own language. You can dine indoors or outdoors, but we preferred inside so you wouldn't have to worry about people smoking. Parking is easily accessible very close to the restaurant. So, highly recommended if you're staying in the area or just passing through, it's definitely worth dining here.
