Good pastry and friendly service, the only flaw is the noisy environment

Very good coffee and pastries. Very friendly service. Unfortunately, the music inside is too loud for my liking, but there are a few tables outside where you can sit.

Well-stocked pastry shop, friendly staff and nice atmosphere

As soon as we arrived in Bologna, we were looking for a café for breakfast... and we stumbled upon this place by chance. We were immediately drawn to the excellent reviews and the display case full of tempting pastries—and it turned out to be a perfect choice. The interior is welcoming and well-kept, with a wide variety of fresh baked goods. At the back of the room, you can even glimpse the pastry shop, where the desserts are made on-site: a detail that immediately conveys quality and craftsmanship. Everything we tried was truly delicious, including the cappuccino. An excellent breakfast in every way. Highly recommended for a great start to your day in the city!

It was our first time at La Borbonica today, so we got 6 pastry samples to go. Among them were a baba au rhum, a chocolate éclair, a Lulù, a pistachio puff, an opéra and a cream cannoli. My favorite was the baba au rhum, it was moist and the alcohol flavour wasn’t overpowering nor bitter. For reference I usually don’t like baba au rhum. The cannoli was good although the cream was grainy and had a strange aftertaste. The shell was nicely done. I really liked the éclair, the Lulù and the pistachio puff. No complaints about those. The opéra didn’t taste like a regular French opéra (if you are familiar with French patisserie). Not much of a coffee flavour if you ask me, it had a hint of alcohol strangely. It was also heavily coated in chocolate glaze, unlike the classic French pastry. We were very pleased with the price. All six pastries costed around €12. We didn’t need to overcommit to one of them since they were all available in small sample sizes of around €1.60 each. Overall I’d recommend. We found that these pastries are not as refined as French pastries, but these are very decent options in Bologna!

The place is inconspicuous but the dishes are delicious

Parada aquí a la hora del almuerzo de hoy, la exhibición de pastel y la elección es simplemente increíble. Si te gustan los postres este es tu lugar. Un entorno agradable y un montón de asientos interiores también. El café y el té es excelente aquí también.

Pasticceria superlativa.Antonio ha realizzato una torta per il mio compleanno che ha avuto i complimenti di tutti .Una millefoglie squisita.Grazie di cuore.Ad maiora!!
