La Bonora In Roma

I've been to Bonora twice, once for food and once for drinks. Both experiences were excellent. The food is good, from the simplest to the most elaborate. The selection of drinks and spirits is vast, and our drinks were made to perfection. Finally, the staff is well-organized and very friendly.

It was a night that started terribly. There were nine of us and we couldn't find a place to have a drink after dinner, and on top of that, it was pouring with rain. Luckily, we found this place, which was packed, but they were kind enough to "arrange" a spot right in front of the entrance. The evening transformed, thanks to the welcoming atmosphere and the friendliness of the staff, especially the waiter Gabriele. We enjoyed several rounds of cocktails and beers and even nibbled on a couple of small pans of chips. Halfway through the evening, they moved us into the smaller room that had become available to make it more comfortable. We had a round of complimentary shots and another round of fireballs. At the end, we even got some pizzas with Nutella! The evening was very fun and full of laughter.

End of the evening with friends, a final drink to say goodbye, some choosing amaro, some whisky, and some continuing with a vicious Franciacorta accompanied by cacio e pepe fries :-) The staff were very friendly and courteous, and the atmosphere was very relaxed. At least four refined amaros and whiskies were brought and presented; congratulations on your choice.

It's not the first time I've been there. Nice place. Good sandwiches, although be careful when cooking the burger, which must be cooked through. Don't bleed in the bun, send it back to finish cooking. Good beers, very good fries... but...??? The bathrooms are awful, very dirty and without the possibility of locking them, which is not at all nice for the customers themselves... Another very negative note is the coming and going of underage kids queuing up to get their alcoholic drinks without any problem at the counter... BEWARE, THIS IS NOT DOING THAT!!

Well, we all have our bad days. But honestly, we came back and had a really good meal. There's always room for improvement in other areas, but the food was delicious. More empathy can help you grow even further. Thank you!
