The place is nice, it’s very Milanese and overall we liked. The size of the dishes is very generous and the atmosphere is like in grandma’s kitchen. Very cosy

Small restaurant with the authentic feeling of an old style local spot, though a long way from a bettola (whose original clients would likely have robbed the current ones). Excellent food from a small list, traditional with a twist. 3-5 vegetarian dishes always present makes this an even better find. Very friendly service, great atmosphere, mostly local customers. Excellent wine list, fairly priced. Highly recommended.

I was at La Bettola di Piero last week with a group of colleagues (there were about a dozen of us).
I must say the wine cellar is very well stocked.
We started with some mixed appetizers (good, but not very plentiful for the price!).
I had an octopus salad with pesto... which was really good. I love octopus and the one from La Bettola seemed fresh and genuine to me.
My colleagues all took the Cotoletta and it didn't go as well: either it was too fatty or too stringy or raw.
Finally the desserts: a peach tart with cream ice cream and some tiramisu. Nothing exceptional.
In summary: high prices, quality not completely adequate.
They want us to come back for a second check.

The restaurant is still set in 1980s Milan with rustic and simple furnishings.
The gastronomic offer is that of the Lombard tradition, without hints of contemporaneity, capable of making you savor a historical period that seems to have never had an end in this place.
Liver pâté with croutons with a strong and well-balanced flavour, generous portion and classic and essential plating.
The Milanese risotto with ossobuco, a pillar of local cuisine, excellently prepared and presented; in a classic and very homely way.
We then opted for a white wine (Alpi Retiche IGT, Impaziente, 100% Nebbiolo) which accompanied us throughout the evening in an elegant and fun way. The wine list is also essential with interesting proposals linked to the territory.
Friendly staff (family run) that allows you to immerse yourself in what the service is; all orders are transcribed on a sheet of paper and subsequently posted on a large blackboard, communicating everything vocally to the kitchen.
As mentioned, a place set in a well-defined historical period that is absolutely worth trying.

Ottime recensioni ci hanno spinto a provare questo ristorante che non è una bettola ma è abbastanza elegante. Ravioli buonissimi e riso abbastanza....il piatto vegetariano con i carciofi assolutamente sbagliato (insapore, carciofi mezzi crudi) mentre buona la cotoletta. Nel complesso non lo consiglierei

Tipica trattoria con ambiente familiare, arredamento semplice e cucina tradizionale. Antipasto con salumi di buona qualità , risotto con osso buco e cotoletta gustosi e cotti alla perfezione, dolci non all'altezza delle altre pietanze. Buona scelta di vini, personale simpatico e professionale. Unica nota stonata i prezzi più da ristorante che da "bettola".
