La bettola is one of those places dear to me.
Located in the center of Specchia, a magical place, it is a certainty. The host is an exquisite person, and every time we dine there, he never misses a beat.
Extraordinary meats, a point of reference for the area and beyond. In my opinion, I would easily put it on the podium of the taverns/restaurants in Italy that have meat as their strong point. Top. Absolutely worth the trip.
Like very popular places, the experience is undoubtedly better on days when there is no overcrowding. But it still remains a certainty, solid as a rock.

The best tripe of my life, excellent vegetables and chocolate salami
Very nice atmosphere and the owner was friendly and kind.
Just a little expensive, but it's okay.

Good food, especially the pittula and the meat, a really small place and the prices of some dishes are quite expensive (the paparina, for example).

After years I returned with friends from Bettola, what can I say? It seems that time has not affected the passion and quality of this place, the preparation of dishes that speak of tradition and flavors of our land. Pericle and his staff are always friendly and helpful, as well as welcoming you with a smile. If you pass through Specchia, pay a visit.
