La Barcaccia In

It was one of two restaurants recommended to us from our Hotel (Baia) and I dare say it's probably the best food I had in Italy (as a frequent visitor) and easily one of the top 3 most memorable meals! It was so good! I was a little iffy about the rating at first but later understood that the wait staff are just overwhelmed/understaffed especially when things get busy (we were here for dinner). They might even appear prickly at first but honestly they warmed up to us eventually giving us great service and even gave us free limoncello (not pictured here)! Also, coperto (cover charge per person) is absolutely normal and expected in many restaurants in Italy. Every food we had was memorable- the steak had a hint of coffee (so unique and delicious!) and the pizza and tiramisu easily one of top 5 I had! Would love to return some day!

Food was good. Pizzas are big so shared two between four of us. Got taken by surprise with the “cover” charge of €3 per person for some dry bread. Slightly off the main area so slightly cheaper than some of the other restaurants

Walk past this restaurant every day and figured we would stop in for dinner. Just average food, great service, very loud inside. I ordered a Margherita Pizza, which was average. The crust was thin and crispy on the edges, very wet in the middle. The tomato sauce was fresh, very thin and a bit watery for pizza and the cheese was fresh. The cheese tasted better as the pizza cooled off a bit. My partner ordered a salad with greens, tomato and feta cheese, he said the salad was fine. Overall, the food is just average, surprising for Italy, since Italians know how to cook.

In this town it is hard to find something sensible to eat. Pizza is edible, but it is not what you expect from a true Italian pizza. Service is average with English, Italians prefer. Coperrto added 3 euros for each person, I think that it is not worth it at all for such service. If there is nothing else, this is good.

A solid, delicious, and very reasonably priced restaurant with a clear focus on Italian pizza. Of the three pizza restaurants we tested in Monterosso, in our opinion, these are the best. If you're looking for a fair recommendation away from the tourist hotspots, this is the place to go :-) We'll eat here again.

Very good restaurant. You will have pasta, seafood and pizza to eat on site or to take away. The service is fast and the staff pleasant. The pizzas are good as well as the beers ;)
