La Baracchina Rossa In Livorno

I love everything about this place. I consider it a place close to my heart. Whenever I pass through Livorno, I always go there...for breakfast, for a sandwich, for a sunset aperitif. Always, always beautiful.

High price for mediocre service

Everything was lovely.... BUT... HORRIBLE HUMANITY!! My family and I often come to Livorno, and we never miss a coffee or an aperitif at the Baracchina Rossa. Yesterday afternoon, we didn't miss a visit. We sat on the seafront, two tables away from where, a few weeks earlier, we had a nice coffee and a ponchino. We thought we could repeat the experience. My partner sat down and started breastfeeding our little one (1 month old), but they ended up telling us that we had to have at least one drink (€8) to stay there. I asked for understanding, but they told us to go next door because there were tables (while my partner was still breastfeeding). It was around 5 pm, and the bar was packed. I went to check it out, but there were no tables. I went back to ask, and the counter told me, "Queue, order at the cashier, order at the counter without service, and you can stay on the seafront, without moving the family." Excellent! I waited in line for 15 minutes (just to give you an idea of ​​how crowded it was) with my older daughter (2 years old). I got what I needed, and in the end I spent about €20, but I didn't get any drinks; I didn't like them! I brought everything to the table, and promptly a very embarrassed waitress came over, telling me that "the boss" told her to tell us to move, and that the person who told us we could stay isn't in charge. STUNNED! I got up, with tray, strollers, backpacks, girls... NO ONE DESERVED TO HELP!!! I looked to the side and there was a table without chairs, and 90% of the people were smoking... I went in and begged for mercy, but nothing, "the boss" didn't show up, no one could do anything, except a very kind lady who offered us a chair at her table... I'll go back, of course, but with a certain amount of anxiety. VERY BAD SITUATION, I FELT IN A COLD AND INHUMAN PLACE, MAYBE AT MY TABLE THEY CASHED MORE...BUT I DOUBT 8€ IS IMPORTANT FOR A REVIEW LIKE THIS...THEY ARE POINTS OF VIEW!

Fantastic view, excellent breakfast.

Grab a sandwich and enjoy it while looking out to sea, in total relaxation. Excellent value. Recommended for anyone passing through Livorno.

Excellent product quality and a vast selection... It's a shame there's limited seating inside (but plenty outside if the weather permits).

I thought it would be better... Many years ago, it was a better place, but it still has its charm and the location is enviable. It offers the opportunity to purchase high-end champagne and other important bottles. Not all bars have them. Of course, buying them at the bar isn't cheap, but if you decide to do so, lucky you.

Very nice atmosphere. The display is full of sweet and savory treats for all tastes. I find the pastries very good. You can sit outside or enjoy the sea view from the first floor, accessible by stairs or elevator (both internal).
