I thought it would be better... Many years ago, it was a better place, but it still has its charm and the location is enviable. It offers the opportunity to purchase high-end champagne and other important bottles. Not all bars have them. Of course, buying them at the bar isn't cheap, but if you decide to do so, lucky you.

Update after 4 years They've improved, thank goodness! 💪🏼 ................................................................................... A place that's only retained its location. The lunch menu isn't bad, but the prices are decidedly high for the quality/quantity served. Despite the kindness of the waiters, we've had to leave more than once because, after asking for directions to seats, no one came to take our order after 20 minutes, despite the few people at the afternoon tables. As for the evening, the little red shack used to serve excellent drinks, but today they mostly serve watered-down fruit juices, and despite being pointed out, they don't try to fix it by passing it off as "just the way it is." Simple mistakes in the drinks preparation have, for example, resulted in a shaken coffee being made with sparkling water: an unnecessary invention. It remains one of Livorno's main meeting places, largely due to its old reputation and strategic location on the waterfront.

10/10/2025: What can I say? The chef, with whom we personally reserved a table yesterday, has learned his craft. The "fish soup" is top-notch. The tomato sauce "soup" has a truly perfect balance between the acidity of the tomatoes and the sugar, which brings them to life. Simply brilliant. Mama Sita, in a nutshell. It couldn't be better. It was just as delicious from bite to bite as you couldn't achieve it yourself. The recommended wine complemented the taste experience positively. We had the soup for one person and shared it because we wanted a second dish. We had the homemade ravioli. That was the crowning glory. The homemade sauce, too, was a gourmet's dream. A Michelin-starred restaurant could add this chef to its menu once a month. Provided the best fresh produce is used. He buys fresh produce every morning, as he told me. So make a reservation and enjoy—it's worth every cent. And to top it all off, there was a lemon sorbet. For the lady at the table, it's normal, and for me, it's vodka and a cafe doppio. Unfortunately, it's not in the picture.

05/09/2025: The crosto and pizza are delicious. The self-service service is very special, allowing you to get both drinks and pizza, which is served on wooden trays already cut so you can let everyone taste the various types. The desserts are also good. The staff and restaurant owner are friendly and helpful. Go there.
02/09/2025: I was here as a child 23 years ago. Nothing has changed: a casual, sporadic atmosphere, great prices, and truly amazing, authentic pizza. It's worth making a reservation during peak season. A large selection of beers—the only drawback, which didn't matter to us, is that the waiter takes your order; you have to pick up drinks and food from a serving station. It's best to park below in the village, as you can only reach the restaurant on foot, though through the beautiful mountain town. We'll be back, and not in 23 years. Thank you!
