Michelin-starred restaurant La Bandiera, in the Pescarese hinterland (near the more well-known Pianella), unfortunately we did not take advantage of the possibility of staying overnight, but only had dinner (so it is not possible to judge the rooms). The place is well furnished, elegant, very clean and welcoming, there is only room for around thirty diners distributed on tables of various sizes and types (outside there is a large car park and in the summer period they should give the possibility of eating out). The service is excellent, you are pampered by various waiters, each with a different function, all kind, polite, helpful and competent. The exceptional food with local products, for quality and presentation on the plate, with various colors and combinations, the various combinations are perfect (the menu varies according to the period). The very complete wine list, for all tastes and budgets. The quality - price - quantity ratio is excellent. Definitely a restaurant to visit several times to savor all the dishes. Highly recommended.

Everything was perfect! We celebrated our 25th anniversary with a lunch for two. Cozy and warm romantic atmosphere. Staff who pamper you, always attentive but never intrusive. Excellent dishes, we took the complete tasting menu in which there are very particular combinations. I preferred the meat dishes, even though I don't eat a lot of it, but they are home-grown products that deserved to be tasted, and we finished it all off with some delicious desserts. Thank you for this day♥️

Per arrivarci ci vuole un po’, ma è la prerogativa di quasi tutti i ristoranti di fascia alta: l’esperienza inizia col viaggio lungo e tortuoso. Ambiente rilassato ed elegante, accogliente, un po’ scomode le sedie, molto cortese l’accoglienza, disponibili, competenti e professionali tutti gli addetti. Il menù della degustazione prevedeva un mix di mare e campagna, per sfatare subito le leggende metropolitane sulle quantità… è stato difficile arrivare alla fine| La cucina de La Bandiera è profondamente radicata nella tradizione gastronomica del nostro territorio, interessanti e golose alcune reinterpretazioni e decisamente fresca, genuina e di alta qualità la materia prima. Ho trovato semplicemente fantastiche le chips di farro e originale e bello l’albero d’ingresso con gli ortaggi. Le portate che metteremmo ai primi posti: il pomodoro grigliato, la minestra di erbe spontanee coi cardoncelli e lenticchie croccanti (al limite con la tostatura), i fusilloni e tutte le portate di carne. Unico appunto la melanzana di accompagnamento all’agnello: erano molto amare, va bene il voler equilibrare i sapori, la genuinità e la naturalezza, ma devono comunque essere commestibili e le nostre non lo erano, peccavano di disidratazione, è stato l’unica portata tornata indietro. Le ciliegie, shiso e latte cagliato stupende, la piccola pasticceria squisita. Molto fornita la carta dei vini, praticamente la scelta è infinita. Tutto molto bello, consigliatissimo.

I returned after a long time to eat at this fantastic restaurant and it was once again a pleasant surprise. I still remember the old menu with a simple and apparently anonymous "minestrone from our garden". I can still feel the unique taste and aroma of those vegetables in my mouth. The menu has changed over time. More sophisticated but still very high is the quality of the local ingredients and the mastery of the chef in knowing how to maintain the flavors of Abruzzo but with that touch of art on the plate. This time I chose the restaurant to celebrate an important event and once again it surprised me both by trying for the first time the vegetarian menu, excellent in flavor and balance, and by its hospitality. That right formality and that welcome that makes you feel at home. Congratulations to Mrs. Svetlana who never left our table despite the place having a busy event, as well as the chef who stopped by several times. In short, correct quality/price, impeccable service and a view of the Maiella with its hills made my day with friends unforgettable. Thank you very much and I hope you will always continue like this.

The place is fabulous, as is the surrounding area and their large vegetable garden. The interiors are very elegant and refined while the customer is welcomed by competent staff, who will guide you in choosing the menus and throughout the experience. Despite occasionally expressing a bit of coldness and little involvement on the part of the waiters (all a bit detached in general and often the wine poured was not explained well), the quality of the dishes was phenomenal. The Sea and Country menu is a journey of flavors that starts with excellent appetizers and one of their musts: the vegetable garden, a multi-course dish (as well as other courses) with unforgettable flavors and a very intelligent use of the various products from their gardens . The chef came out to greet some customers (maybe acquaintances), but we and a couple of other tables were ignored, too bad, I would have liked to know him. A recommended stop for an excellent lunch or dinner at a very reasonable price for the standard offered. I'll be back!
