Wunderbar! The Bavarian spirit is evident in the (top-quality) dishes, the decor, and the atmosphere, and the Neumann family welcomes you with great courtesy, helpfulness, and cheerfulness. Their social media profiles are also particularly successful, with lively yet informative posts about Bavarian cuisine and traditions (I recommend Instagram). Happy beer and pretzels to everyone!

La Baita Biergarten became my go-to place in Ispra. I visited three times, and for good reason. The food is generous, comforting, and full of flavour: juicy pork steak, perfectly grilled sausages, crispy schnitzel, warm potatoes, fresh salads, pretzels with melted cheese, and lovely desserts. Everything is simple yet delicious and deeply satisfying. The wine and beers pairs beautifully with the dishes, making the cozy, candle-lit atmosphere even more enjoyable. Add to that the genuine warmth of the sweet family running the place, and even a spontaneous piano moment one evening, and you get a place that feels truly special. Definitely recommended and I’ll be back for sure!

I had lunch here this afternoon and it was truly outstanding. Every dish was full of flavour and beautifully presented. The restaurant itself has a lovely atmosphere, comfortable, clean, and thoughtfully decorated. What really stood out was the service: warm, polite, and genuinely attentive without being intrusive. Overall, a fantastic experience that exceeded my expectations. I highly recommend this place and will gladly come back!

A place in perfect German style. Very kind and professional staff. Typical Teutonic dishes, well prepared and very tasty. Limited selection of drinks. Prices a little above average. Overall, I can say I spent a pleasant evening in this little corner of Germany.

This is one of my favourite restaurants in the area. The staff are always very welcoming and helpful, explaining the menu and specials. The food has always been exceptional and especially suited to the winter season, when you just need a good-old hearty comforting dish, full of flavour. The pretzels are tasty and fresh too. My personal favourite dish is probably the Tiroler Gröstl, which is potatoes, pork, speck and egg in lovely juices, although I haven’t tried the entire German yet…I’ll be back!

08/12/2025: A very cute and unique place, beer garden-style, serving typical Tyrolean dishes and more. The service is friendly and super-friendly, the timing is right, and everything is on point. The menu is extensive (digital), portions vary (the trio of first courses was a bit small for the price, while the second courses were more generous), and prices are a bit high in my opinion for this type of place. Dirt parking at street level.
08/12/2025: I tried this restaurant on the recommendation of a friend's relative. You can feel the typical German atmosphere, both in the decor and the background music; the staff is also dressed appropriately and manages to serve customers without excessive waits. You spend a little, but the food is well worth it; you can taste the authentic flavors. You can choose from tasting menus or individual dishes on the menu.

20/01/2026: A truly well-crafted, traditional Tyrolean menu, with attention to detail, clear names and descriptions of the dishes, and images that don't mislead. On the contrary, what you see on the menu is exactly what you get at your table, without any strange surprises or "creative" portions. And that alone is a huge plus. The taste is surprising. We tried practically everything, and every dish was exquisite, with full, bold, authentic flavors. You can taste the genuine pursuit of Tyrolean and Bavarian cuisine behind it, not just a randomly revisited version. The atmosphere is warm and super familiar, making you feel immediately at ease. The attention to detail is also evident, like the staff dressed in traditional attire, which makes the experience even more immersive and unique. It's a perfect place to spend a pleasant evening, whether as a couple or with friends. It's also ideal for a different kind of aperitif: a nice beer, a few samples of their dishes, and the evening flies by like a dream. An additional note, not to be taken for granted. Even those who aren't fans of sausages or more "rich" fare will find alternatives like sliced ​​steak, fillet steak, and more classic dishes. That said, it would be a shame not to indulge in their selection of traditional dishes. In such a unique place, it's worth experiencing it to the fullest. Highly recommended. If you're in Varese and want to eat well, drink better, and have a wonderful evening, W11 Cucina Alpina is absolutely worth a visit.
