First off, the question about gluten-free options – yes. An indescribable experience. The plan was to stop for a day at the Hosteria del Maiale. Rather unassuming from the outside, entering the magnificently preserved building complex transports you to another time, far removed from worldly problems. The hospitality, despite the lack of language skills, leaves no doubt that you are welcome here. A carefully selected, excellent menu and a fine wine make every taste bud sing. A family of peacocks, playful cats, and a beautifully decorated courtyard invite you to linger. And always, the staff's attentive friendliness. Anyone who has the opportunity to spend the night in this historic building complex will find this experience truly complete.
