Kyathos In Tuscania

I visited this trattoria during the chestnut festival held in San Martino al Cimino in October. We hadn't booked, and we were lucky because, despite the restaurant being full, there were still two-person tables available. A dark-haired lady who greeted us at the entrance was very kind and helpful in seating us. The cuisine is very rustic and trattoria-style, just what we were looking for. The menu is quite comprehensive, with many dishes featuring porcini mushrooms and typical local products. We ordered the tagliatelle with porcini mushrooms and the tagliata with potatoes and porcini mushrooms: both were very good. The restaurant is located just outside the historic walls of the town, and reservations are highly recommended.

Excellent trattoria, excellent chef, very knowledgeable and helpful staff. Great prices. I recommend you try it. I almost forgot about the excellent and generous dishes.

We returned to Chef Massimo. Excellent seafood lunch. The atmosphere is familiar and welcoming, and the price is more than fair considering the service and quality of the food. We will definitely return to try all the chef's specialties.

The traditional dishes are very well prepared. The tonnarelli alla amatriciana are excellent, as are the mushrooms.

Generous portions. Typical osteria dishes. The lady serving the tables is lovely! Come to San Martino al Cimino and stop by Chef Bandana for a delicious meal! Fixed-price menus are also available 💪🤗

Really great food during the bike ride, even too much because we couldn't limit ourselves, having then paid the consequences during the climb to reach the edge of the cone of Lake Vico!

The experience was excellent, as were the meat and fish dishes, which were beautifully presented. The quality and excellent food is a must-try.

It's definitely more than worth a visit, whether you're in the area or not. For us, it's become a pleasant habit, despite the hour-long drive that separates us. The atmosphere is familiar but very welcoming, as is the service. In the kitchen, Chef Bandana, aka Massimo, delighted us with fantastic dishes, from the first courses like tonnarelli with scampi and tomato, stringozzi with Tuscia flavors, and the zucchini and saffron delicacies, to the second courses such as grilled meat, fish, and exceptional fried dishes, dry and crispy, not to mention the roasted octopus... simply fantastic. Honorable mention for both the meat and fish appetizers; the raw seafood is spectacular and worth the trip alone. The price? A quality-price ratio I defy you to find anywhere else. Absolutely worth trying.

Fully satisfied with the kitchen that served us a very fresh raw fish appetizer of fish and meat truly beyond our expectations (10 people), excellent first course, various second courses but all exceptional. Definitely worth a return to try other delicious dishes. Chef bandana see you soon
