Erano ormai anni che non entravo in un locale così meravigliosamente autentico. Pietanze dal sapore antico, porzioni esagerate, gentilezza sincera, ambiente molto informale, qualità/prezzo stellare e lo Chef Bandana che fa spesso capolino in sala. Abbiamo preso Acquacotta, trippa alla romana e cicoria ripassata, ma abbiamo visto diversi piatti interessanti uscire dalla cucina. Torneremo!!!

This was my first time at Kyathos. What a pleasant surprise.... Beautiful large dinning area, thoughtful and authentically decorated. The chef reads out daily specials , answering any questions. My party of 4 chose the 18 euro menu which was 3 courses, first home made breads with a very large platter of antipasti of buffalo mozzarella, pecorino, proscuito, fried gnocchi and a dish of marinated carcioffi, olives and porcini mushrooms. My second, tender gnocchi with fresh porcini and fresh peas topped w/ parmegiano. Last was a fantastic frittura di mare. Wine, bottled water and a frshly made biscotti for dessert finished off this lovely dinner. My next dinner will be the amazing looking steak tagliata, of which there are several versions to choose from. All in all WONDERFUL!

Convivial environment with excellent fish menu, chef Bandana deserves your visit for his devotion and kindness

Great find! Rustic style restaurant in an alley in the historic center of Tuscania, in an ideal position before or after a nice walk on the walls. Rustic style restaurant with many delicacies. Absolutely not to be missed is chef Bandana's rich and delicious appetizer!

The legendary Chef Bandana! At Kyathos you can ask for both fish and meat, his fantastic biscuits and bread with chestnuts and walnuts served hot, all his work...the atmosphere, his dedication makes you feel at home, "a deja vu"...excellent quality for money !!!

Fish menu, abundant both the starter and the first and second courses, all fresh fish. The lovely service from Mr. Massimo's wife. Chef Massimo is good, friendly and above all competent. Fair prices. I will definitely return to taste the raw fish which is best booked to give the Chef the opportunity to purchase them

I tried more than one dish... everything was delicious including the house wines and desserts... The owner/chef is very nice, the waitress was cute and very kind... Everything at a modest price, perhaps the only flaw is the taste of the room and the colors not exactly like a restaurant... However, the rating is high and I will certainly return!!! 😋👍

Truly authentic. This was my families favorite restaurant experience to date. Having just finished a 7 day “giro d’Italia” with family that came to visit, it was a pleasant surprise to find our best food experience was here in Tuscania (not surprising-it’s packed with great restaurants). I was expecting restaurant burnout. Massimo was delightful and full of recommendations. Taking his advice, we rolled with sampler after sampler. The food was outstanding as was the atmosphere. The varieties of seafood and pasta was great. He even created a dessert that has dethroned tiramisu. Don’t believe me? You will have to try it out but only he will know what it was as I barely had time to snap a pic before they were swallowed up. 10/10 is a must do place when visiting the area.
