The food was okay, but the staff needs to calm down - very stressed and almost a bit rude. Quite expensive place if you compare to other restaurants in the area.

Came with my coeliac partner - staff were very knowledgeable about gluten in food. One things is though, on the menu there were items marked as not having gluten but actually were not safe when we tried to order them. The food was decent, I had a prawn pasta (with gluten) and it was cooked well. The wine was great. However, what dampened the mood for me is when I put parmesan on my pasta (I know, I know - it’s not widely accepted to eat seafood and cheese but I like it and I’m a paying customer), a waiter came and quite loudly talked down to me about it in Italian. I laughed it off but for the price point of the place, I don’t think this behaviour is acceptable. My partner had the poppette in tomato sauce, which was decent also, however the sauce was quite sharp and he was recommended to take with it grilled zucchini. But, the zucchini were covered in a mint oil which is traditional for this area and with the sauce from the pipettes I’m afraid this combined oddly, perhaps a different more neutral side would have worked better. Overall the service was good, place is pretty, lots of wine choice, decent food and good vibes. Would recommend reprinting menu with appropriate and accurate allergens, and also training staff to keep their opinions about customers’ food choices to themselves as it really made the experience less pleasant. Thank you very much to the shift manager to being very accommodating and attentive though, I would recommend this place.

Very beautiful interior and luxurious feel inside the restaurant. The food was just okay. The risotto with shrimp was the highlight of the evening in terms of food. The staff was friendly but a bit chaotic.

A wonderful discovery! Monopoli is a tourist area, so this is a must-visit! Delicious local produce, top-notch service, a very pleasant owner, and the setting is perfect! The prices are very reasonable for the price! We ordered four appetizers and a bottle of white wine for €75.50. In short, don't hesitate!

I have to admit that this could have been a 5 star review without a few misunderstandings. I went for the light lunch menu and ordered the penne and filete di sgombro (mackerel). The fish was good but it arrived before I had finished my first course. After that rush, I waited 30 minutes for them to ask if I wanted dessert and or coffee without any sign of life. (I later wondered if these weren't on offer on the light lunch menu). I'm a very patient person but eventually I gave up and went to pay and saw that the waitress already had my bill ready. I gave 5 stars for the food because the "crudiola" was outstanding.

Amazing, when you want something more than pizza and pasta get here . Quality food at reasonable price and service amazing

A very pleasant place. The owner takes care of his customers. Excellent fish and good advice. We are with three children, one of whom is severely disabled, and everything was done to ensure we had a great time. Thank you, a place not to be missed in Monopoli.

What an oasis of calm, good food and good service is the wonderful but crazy old town of Monopoli! The wine recommendation was spot on and our past dishes were very good - I did find myself wishing we had gone for the pasta special which was being prepared with theatre in a scooped out gran padano cheese!
