Kapunto In Matera

Cozy atmosphere. Delicious food - every bite was a delight, especially the truffle tagliatelle. You can see how the chef prepares the dishes - admiration for the cleanliness in the kitchen. And the wonderful sweet girl from Morocco made our evening even more pleasant with a smile, perfect service and friendly attitude.

Here, we came for the pasta. It was epic. Situated just near some of the main plaza and attractions is Kapunto. This is a modern restaurant I would say. I really liked the decor and all the cutlery and plate design. Very clean and great staff. There was a buzzing little atmosphere and the locals were chatting hard with staff which was great to see. I loved watching this. I found that the pasta course with some bread and a bottle of wine was a great meal - one would need to be hungry to manage two courses though I would say. The pasta here was just incredible and freshly made. You can see from the images how good this was made. The mushroom and tomatoe sauces we had were bith rich and flavourful. The wine was also a good choice. This is somewhere I would come back to if local and suggest travellers come and visit. Thank you for a great lunch.

A truly excellent experience: welcoming staff, clean and well-heated location (even the bathrooms were very clean), truly good food and excellent value. The presentation of the dishes is also meticulous, as can be seen from the photos. We didn't try the desserts. The staff were truly kind and friendly. I would return, highly recommended.

Exquisite. So much so that I stopped to take pictures of the food. I ordered "radice," which were incredible tagliatelle with truffle, and some amazing fusilli with pesto. The house wine was fantastic, and the service was excellent. It's a moment of calm and enjoyment while strolling through Matera.

A true gem in the heart of Matera! Kapunto was a wonderful discovery: carefully prepared dishes, top-quality ingredients, and authentic flavors that reflect the region in every course. Everything was simply excellent, from appetizers to desserts. The service was excellent: the staff were kind, attentive, and always smiling, making you feel at ease and offering the best possible advice. The atmosphere was welcoming, the restaurant elegant, and the price was absolutely reasonable for the quality. If you're in Matera, Kapunto is a must-see. We'll definitely be back!

Intimate and comfortable, the food is delicious, and the open kitchen is charming. Children and dogs are welcome.

The owners are incredibly down-to-earth and only want one thing: for you to leave satisfied and happy. Ten days in Puglia, and I sincerely believe it was the best time of our lives.
