The most amazing sushi experience of my life.
From the moment you arrive in Alvar Alto you can feel the uniqueness of this restaurant, located in the heart of Milanese modernity. The venue immediately appears very elegant and designed with the attention to detail of a top restaurant. The bathroom corridor was particularly appreciated which, although it caused a slight confusion due to the labyrinth structure of the mirrors, is very interesting.
Moving on to the Omakase experience, the staff led us to our room (which became private given the large group of 6 people). Upon entering you immediately perceive the feeling of being in a place in Tokyo with a view of the Melchiorre Gioia, a very suggestive contradiction.
However, the leading role remains dedicated, rightly, to food and its preparation. For two and a half hours we were taken on a culinary journey in Japan thanks to the chef, originally from Tokyo, who with great kindness, attention to detail and professionalism introduced us to the traditions and excellence of his homeland. The most appreciated dishes were certainly the Nigiri characterized by the use of very particular and delicate cuts of fish, prepared with exceptional and enviable skill. Personally my favorite dish was the ToRo double tuna nigiri.
From the simplest nigiri to the most complicated soup rich in ingredients, in a succession of flavors and aromas never experienced before, we were pampered and, accompanied by an excellent champagne, we arrived at the icing on the cake, the selection of digestives, ass in experience. The most appreciated were the Japanese "limoncino", a Yuzu liqueur, and above all the Umeshi, pickled plum liqueur.
To date, I consider this to be the best restaurant in the city and, with a high price but totally in line with expectations, an experience worth trying for everyone.

Fantastic experience with chef Masashi Suzuki all for us at the counter! Each dish was a surprise, carefully prepared and full of unusual flavours. Feeling pampered like that was truly special. Perfect for those looking for a touch of Japan in a relaxed and unique atmosphere. We will long remember the kindness of Masashi and his collaborators.

Incredible Japanese sushi experience. We had already been to Yio in the first restaurant and it was excellent but "just" a restaurant. Here the experience at the counter with show cooking throughout the dinner is on another level. All dishes, raw materials and preparations are excellent. Only 7 seats in an elegant but not too stuffy venue. The chef explains each dish and the long list of digestives, making the moment of the final toast convivial (not obvious for a starred restaurant).

I had dinner there last night with my mother for my birthday, the quality of the food is superb and the flavors will win you over. I think we spent the whole evening saying mhmh 😂. Perhaps the second course with the mushroom was not to our tastes, not being used to oriental flavours, but there was a quality where the flavor of the fish reigns supreme. And finally I thank the kindness of the master and his collaborators who remembered my birthday and made a small happy birthday cake, a fantastic experience absolutely recommended to anyone who loves sushi 🍣
P.s. special mention for the truly sublime bean dessert, truly unexpected
