Istela Cafe In Camaiore

For years now, my wife and I have been coming to Lido di Camaiore for vacations or weekends, and it's become a regular stop for lunch or dinner at Ristorante Istela, where the staff and owners make us feel at home among friends. The food is excellent, made with the freshest ingredients, and the selection ranges from seafood to meat dishes, always top-notch. Every day, you can find whatever you're craving on the menu: from the amazing pinsa (a type of pasta) to superb dishes like paccheri alla carbonara, gnocchi with scampi, tordelli (a type of pasta), or tuna steak, all the way to delicious salads if you're looking for a lighter option. The menu is frequently updated with new dishes based on the ingredients and the chef's ideas. The staff is always attentive, courteous, and friendly. Prices are absolutely reasonable considering the restaurant's location—in fact, I'd say below average. Evening dining on the spacious terrace is priceless. I recommend booking, as during the high season, even though there are plenty of seats, it can be difficult to find a seat without one.

I've never eaten such good gnocchi in 129 years of my life. I swear, when I ate it, I saw the Old Testament unfold before my eyes and Abraham's descendants applaud me. May Yahweh, the Lord of the Mountain, bless the cook so that she may show the gods to the less fortunate.

The service was impeccable: fast, attentive, and always friendly. Special thanks go to the owners, who were extremely kind and welcoming, making us feel immediately at ease. A place I definitely recommend and will gladly return to!
