Isola Verde is one of those places you choose for the food, not the appearance—and it's a good one. Eritrean cuisine is authentic, intense in flavor, and of great quality. The Spriss is exceptional, always freshly prepared, and truly hard to find anywhere else. The injera is also very good, perfect for accompanying the dishes.
The prices are incredibly low for Milan: for €12, you can eat very well, even just for Spriss and water.
The place is small and simple, more like a rotisserie than a traditional restaurant. Trahas, the owner, manages everything herself—the kitchen, service, and cashier—and this helps create a genuine experience, without frills, but with great substance. A must-try if you love authentic food.

The lady was initially a bit cold in her welcome, especially considering we were the only two customers! However, she definitely made up for it with the food: excellent value and generous portions (with water included). Moreover, towards the end, the lady even softened a bit.
NOTE: There is no restroom; there is only a sink.

The lady was very kind and explained some of the specialties of her cuisine to us. Very good, we've been there before.

Probably like the food you'd eat in Ethiopia. Very casual atmosphere, two tables inside and a few outside. The lady was kind and helpful, the food was good, but you have to like the type of person, especially the spicy ones. It was easy to digest, but it's definitely worth taking a walk before falling into bed and sleeping. I'll be back.
