An Oasis of Magic and Flavor in Sant'Agata di Militello
Last Sunday we had an excellent meal in Sant'Agata di Militello, right by the port. We found a true oasis of magic and tranquility in a restaurant that immediately won us over.
The welcome was warm and impeccable: the hostess immediately put us at ease by presenting the menu on a blackboard, a detail we found very original and inviting. And so, the culinary feast began!
The appetizers were a triumph of seafood flavors: a delicious mussels with pepper, fresh bruschetta with cherry tomatoes, and equally tasty shrimp bruschetta. Then, for the main course, I opted for roasted squid accompanied by an excellent iceberg lettuce, simple yet refreshing. The real star, however, was the Captain's Fried Fish: served in a charming boat-shaped dish, this fried fish had an exceptional, golden, and crispy coating, a clear sign of the clean, top-quality oil that enhanced the freshness of the fish.
To accompany these delights, we chose an excellent white wine from Etna, which paired perfectly. And to top it off, we couldn't help but try the mother-in-law's digestive: an expertly prepared elixir with a super-secret recipe, truly unique!
Many will ask me why I didn't post photos, and the answer is simple: the intoxicating aroma and deliciousness of the dishes served were such that we didn't have the time or the means to immortalize anything!
It was truly a wonderful discovery and an unforgettable culinary experience. Special thanks to the owners who took such care of us with such passion. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who still loves good food and appreciates authentic seafood cuisine.
